I was in a terrible accident that changed my life in an instant. Not only did I suffer serious injuries, but I also lost my job because I was unable to work during my recovery. To make things even more challenging, I don't have medical insurance, so every doctor visit and treatment has become a huge financial burden. The stress of trying to heal while worrying about how to pay for basic needs has been overwhelming at times. This accident has also deeply affected my family. I have a 21-year-old son and a 17-year-old daughter. Because of my situation, it will be hard to have visitation with my 17-year-old daughter, which is heartbreaking. I also have an 8-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter who live with me and rely on me every day. Providing for them while managing my recovery has been incredibly difficult, but I am doing everything I can to keep us together and safe. My spouse, Brianna, has taken on so much during this time. While working, she also cares for me as I recover, manages the household, cooks, cleans, and takes care of the kids. The accident has put a lot of extra strain on her, and I am so grateful for her strength and support. We are doing our best to get through this as a family, but it has not been easy. Right now, I am facing mounting bills for follow-up doctor visits and ongoing care for my injuries, including a surgical wound on my hip that requires special medical supplies. On top of that, I am struggling to cover my living expenses and support my family while I focus on getting better. Every day is a challenge, but I am determined to keep moving forward for myself, my kids, and Brianna. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
