<div>Hello. My name is David Pataconi,. Last April I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer after being treated for a ruptured appendix and having a large portion of my colon removed. In August my doctors informed me that I'm now at Stage 4. Though I have insurance, it doesn’t cover all of my bills, and it was suggested by a few people that I start a go fund me. I’m thankful that I am still working at the moment. All funds will and continue to help pay the medical bills my insurance won't cover, copays, expenses going back and forth to medical appointments, and upcoming short term disability, since my paid time off work is outpacing my accrual, and will run out soon. Any amount you can give would be helpful to me and my family. Thank you for your consideration, and for all your prayers for us!

We’ve been flooded with so much love about The Soda Parlor. First off thank you! We had been open for 6years! Wow! We poured so much of ourselves into that place, I’ve meet thousands of you in that shop. And then bam! A tornado tears through your town. It doesn’t really even feel real.  






Let me say this we had insurance. We’re meeting up with said insurance agent today. 






 






I don’t know how long of a road we have ahead of us. I don’t know the obstacles we have a head of us. I don’t know when we will get these insurance funds. I don’t know the extent of the damage. 






 






Sadly ONTOP of all of that are place was looted. Which means nothing to me. All of that can be replaced. My mind goes to oh crap we have a bunch of employees that don’t have a job right now.






 






I’ve seen many of you asking, begging to help. I’m going to set up a gofundme I don’t have a number in my head as of yet and it’s totally up to you don’t feel the need to do this. This is where it would go.

Hello everyone! 


As a lot of you know we set up this GoFundMe to help us pay for our tour bus. Thanks to you guys, we got the bus!! But the unfortunate part is that we got it right before the Covid-19 Pandemic hit and we were forced to come off the road. We lost our jobs, we lost our ability to tour. And we’ve been desperately trying and failing to get back onto our feet. At this time we are also not with our label anymore and we know a lot of you want to hear new music from us. The good news is we have some great new music that we are very proud of and would love to share with all. It also it looks like touring will be opening back up sometime around this fall and we would love to come see you all on the road. New music and live shows are things that we would love to share with you guys. However at this time those goals are quite far out of our reach due to the financial set backs we faced in 2020. We still owe money on our bus, and it needs some work before it’s safe to bring out on the road again. And we do not have the money to fund a new album for you guys.


But we are not giving up. We are determined to make this happen for you guys. We have some ideas to raise money to help towards this, but we know it’s going to be very difficult to do this alone. 


So, here is an invitation to join us on this journey and help us get back onto our feet and move into a new chapter of our band. We’re so excited to share our new music with you guys, and so excited to be able to play the songs live for you. 


Our mission and goal from the very beginning has always been to spread hope and love to this world. And after the past year we’ve all had. We need it more than ever. That message is guaranteed within our new music and we look forward to spreading that message to more and more people throughout the remainder of 2021 and into 2022 and beyond

We Need Help

On Saturday the 11th, Everett Mowery was having some trouble breathing and spitting up. Naaman and Tabatha went to the hospital only to find that her heart had a blockage and a hole. After getting her stable, they flew her to Vanderbilt where she's fighting for her life and preparing for open heart surgery. To to help her and her parents through these several weeks of missed work and health expenses, we're organizing this GoFundMe for friends and family to help serve and bless them the best we can.  There is no minimum or maximum amount of money that can be received, every dollar (minus GoFundMe's processing fee) will go to the Mowery's to help give them some relief. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers throughout the next few weeks as well.

Touring and festival season is upon us, and we need your help to make it there! Our ride (the lovely 1986 Itaska Sunflyer shown in the picture), needs a little bit of TLC. It isn't just a vehicle. It is also our home when we are on the road. Currently, we need to repair the generator, replace the toilet, and get a new blower motor for the dash. We will put thousands of miles on it this summer, and it's likely we will run into a handful of other, unexpected repair needs. So why are we asking you for help? Because, contrary to what you might believe, we are not rock stars. We are not getting rich and/or famous. While we were out, we were granted several more opportunities which we’ll be sharing shortly. Trust us, these opportunities are VERY cool, and are a true blessing. Now to address the obvious. On our way home from our last show of the tour in Cupertino, California, we collided with another travel trailer on Interstate 10 somewhere in the Phoenix desert. The collision was horrific (see pics). Our drummer, D-Myke, was life-flighted to the ER, and everyone else was banged up terribly. However, here’s the good news. EVERYone is alive and no one is severely injured. It’s truly a miracle. If you don’t believe in God, I wish you could have seen first hand how devasting this collision was, and then have seen all of us walk out of it in one piece. We were told by all of the first responders how lucky we were, and that 9 times out of 10, these types of collisions end fatally. Thank God for His protection.     We’re all working through bruising, scratches, glass cuts, and the inevitable trauma that comes with an incident like this. Here are a few of the details. We were charged $1,300 from a tow truck driver to tow us 5 miles (who wouldn’t take us any further unless we paid him $2400), left stranded in the desert in 115 degree weather for 5 hours, and then stranded at a truck stop. At the truck stop, covered in blood, glass, dirt, oil, and limping, we begged for rides, help, etc, but received none (people thought we were scary, lying, etc). We even had a Lyft driver refuse to help Mik because he thought he was a beggar asking for money. All we needed was a ride, but we looked too scary and were judged on our appearances :/ Our motorhome, Guzz, in pieces and full of our equipment and belongings, was literally dumped in a parking lot behind the truck stop when we refused to pay the tow truck driver $2400 to take us to a nearby city. He also told us that we had to pay him $1300 (after being towed only 5 miles) or he would leave us there and take our motorhome, full of everything we own, to his tow-yard, where we would be charged again daily until we paid another tow service to come get it. In short, it was pay this guy $1300 right then and there and be left stranded at a truck stop, or potentially lose everything. Praying for that dude So there, we sat, for many uncertain hours and in desperate need of help. After hours of calling around with no success in trying to find help, a friend (Chad Belew) from San Antonio saw a Facebook post by our guitar player and sent some of his friends to drive about three hours from where they live in Phoenix to come get us. These two angels showed up to the truck stop with an SUV and a U-Haul trailer. It was beautiful.   Once we got situated for the evening in hotel rooms graciously provided to us by our management after being driven to Phoenix by the two angels, the next round of work began to try and figure out how in the world we get everything and everyone back to San Antonio. Fun fact: It is not possible to rent a vehicle with a tow hitch in Phoenix. Thus, we rented a 12-passenger van (which is costing us over $1000), crammed it beyond its capacity, and still had to pay for three flights (getting the most-injured home as quickly as possible and help in Phoenix as quickly as possible). Expenses are piling on, and massively so.  So far, we're $12,000 in the hole with the RV (liability insurance only, not comprehensive), $1100 in the hole with replacement rentals to get home, $1300 for the tow truck driver, and other various expenses not yet totaled including plane tickets, hotels, and medical costs.      Three of the six of us required urgent hospital visits, one life-flight, one had an MRI and catscan, and all of us required some level of medical attention (some still do). Our RV, for which we still have a payment, is destroyed, medical costs are piling up, and we’re in dire need of a new vehicle in which to travel.   So many of you have reached out and asked for a way to help for which we are forever grateful. We’ve decided to post this link as a central place from which to receive contributions towards rebuilding and medical costs. If you would like to help, this is where, and this is how. Lastly, as crazy as it sounds, we’re fired up more than ever, more determined than ever, and riding a massive wave of encouragement from the calls, texts, comments, and outpouring of love from all of you. We know God has big plans for this band, bigger than anything we can imagine, and that we were protected so that our work could continue. Dale and Phil Lehnert have been dairy farmers in Central Michigan their entire lives. Following in a tradition that started in 1856, Clay Knob Farms has produced high quality and affordable dairy products for five generations. Unfortunately, Dale and Phil are about to go out of business due to low milk prices and tough economic times.  To Dale and Phil, this is more than just a business.  This is their home, livelihood, way of life, and passion. Yogi and Cara are expecting  their first little girl any day now and came home from a Dr's visit to find their apartment complex on fire.  As of right now they have NOTHING but the clothes on their bodies and NOTHING for Dessi that will be here any day.  John 15:12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you…” Please help them in this time of need.
