Hi, my name is Sean. I’m a husband and a father of two teenagers, and asking for help like this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But right now, my family needs help, and staying silent isn’t an option anymore. We were forced to leave our previous home after ongoing bullying and harassment toward our children made it unsafe for them to live there. Watching your kids suffer while trying to stay strong as a parent breaks something inside you. We did everything we could to make it work, but eventually the choice became clear: protect our kids, or stay where they were being hurt. So we left. We relocated to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula hoping for peace, safety, and a fresh start. We are a family who pays our rent and utilities on time, who works hard, and who believes in handling our responsibilities. But starting over from nothing has been overwhelming. Housing costs, security deposits, application fees, and basic living expenses add up fast, and despite our best efforts, we’ve fallen behind. This fundraiser isn’t about convenience or comfort. It’s about stability. It’s about giving our children a safe place to sleep, a place where they don’t feel targeted or afraid, and a chance to finally breathe again. Right now, we’re fighting to keep our footing and avoid slipping further back. We are asking for help because we truly need it.
