<div>Hello, I'm Lauren and I am currently producing a wonderful short film that's in development called Maggie's Lament. Our logline being ' Roaring Twenties, a singer with the lust for the stage gets locked in an asylum by her controlling husband, forcing her to fight for her voice before it is stolen for good.'
</div>
<div>In this film we hope to explore Britain in the 1920s, bringing awareness to how women's mental health was treated, leaning away from the romanticization of the jazz age and prohibition which has become common in media.
</div>
<div>The money we raise we hope to build a wonderful, 1920 jazz club set, as well as the set for an asylum. We hope to purchase period accurate clothing and tools, as well as travel costs and catering.
