Rotini (aka Tini) is one of my incredibly beloved kitties, part of a litter I've raised from their birth, collectively called The Noodles. SHE IS CURRENTLY IN NEED OF URGENT VETERINARY CARE that I'm unable to afford because I NEED HELP TO STAY AFLOAT financially while I look for new work.
Yes, this is a two-issue fundraiser, but these things go hand in hand. I can't care for her or my cats when I can't pay my bills, and she is getting so much worse. I'm honestly terrified of the entire situation.
Right now, I'm looking at a minimum of $3000 to get her vet expenses covered and get me through at least 1-2 weeks of February. I have everything broken down to the best of my abilities below.
Any and all help is appreciated and I can't thank you enough for your help.

ABOUT ROTINI
& HER IMMEDIATE MEDICAL NEEDS
Rotini started having strange obstructed-breathing attacks around October that initially sounded like difficulty with hairballs. However, she never produced hairballs, continued to get worse, and these attacks were happening at all times of the day and night - so I got her to the vet as soon as I could.
The vet did an endoscopy and took x-rays, finding no obstructions, but did see inflammation in her lungs. He determined it to be asthma and put her on a liquid steroid in November, which didn't help at all, and she kept getting worse.
I brought her in to urgent care in December, telling the doctor that this line of care isn't working and she's getting worse. A second set of x-rays showed nothing different, and he prescribed a $270 inhaler that I couldn't put on Care Credit.
It's been nearly a month on the first of two steroid inhalers with no improvement, and continued worsening of the attacks. I wake up in the middle of the night hearing her struggling to breathe/coughing/wheezing and I am getting so scared she's just going to suffocate to death at this point.
The vet seems completely aloof to her condition, and told me to just go to the second lower steroid inhaler and add a rescue inhaler to the treatment, but I do NOT believe this is asthma, and I am seeking a second opinion.
I fear she has heartworms which causes Feline Heartworm-Associated Respiratory Disease (HARD) , which can be fatal very quickly, and I am going to ask my vet to test her for this.
I am also considering an ultrasound to check for a bezoar since she is obsessive/compulsive with eating hair and any other fibers she can find.
IMMEDIATELY NEEDED EXPENSES
Since you can't stop steroids immediately, I need $180 for the second steroid inhaler, and whatever the rescue inhaler might cost* just in case it helps.
A vet visit is $65 plus whatever the heartworm test will cost*. Potentially, also an ultrasound.
If the vet she's been seeing doesn't agree to the testing and/or refuses to seek a different diagnosis, I will seek a second veterinarian's opinion, so whatever it will cost to see someone new, and whatever costs come with a new treatment plan.*
(*I will be actively updating costs when I know what they are. I have already spent $1500 between Care Credit and donations and cannot afford to put much more on CC without maxing it out and having nothing for any other emergencies.)

MY SITUATION
& IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL NEEDS
I work as a pet sitter and the post-holiday months are always a challenge when work drops off, but this month my work has dropped to basically nothing. The other income in my household is only half of our monthly needs and I only have one weekend job booked in February so far.
The majority of our bills happen in the first week of the month, the largest being rent, phone service, utilities, and the Care Credit bill (from the vet).
On average, the first 7-10 days of the month costs us roughly $1500, my "half" of which we do not have going into the month ahead, and I only have ONE $150 job the second weekend in February.
I am in immediate need of at least $750 to cover these expenses, not including any extra for needed groceries, gas, cat food/litter etc. And I can NOT help Rotini or any of my cats if I can't pay my bills. And that's not including the rest of the bills if I can't get more work this month.
I'm actively seeking a new job with the continued help of my therapist to help me through the process and help keep me accountable. And I'm absolutely open to any other assistance or suggestions to help get me back on my feet.

Again, thank you for any and all help. It means everything for her health and our security.
