Kim &amp; Dave Morrow are raising funds for <strong>Gil &amp; Michele Lucero and their Husky, Leo</strong> after they lost their home on 8/10/26 in the Bug fire in Reno, Nevada. What began with the initial evacuation on Saturday ended in an outcome no one in the family imagined: their home was a total loss. In a matter of hours, Gil and Michele lost the place they called home and now face the heartbreaking reality of starting over from nothing. While insurance will help, recovery and rebuilding will be a long road. Through all of this, the family is deeply grateful that Gil, Michele, and Leo are safe.

 Donations from this fundraiser will help Gil and Michele with temporary housing, replacing clothing, and covering daily essentials as they begin to rebuild everything that was lost in the fire. <div>On Sunday morning, Nov. 10, 2024, in Halfway, Oregon, Jon was guiding two men on an elk-hunting expedition. As they were getting out of Jon's side-by-side, one of the hunters chambered a round into his rifle. The rifle fired, and the bullet struck Jon in the back. Jon fell to the ground, emergency personnel were notified, and Jon succumbed to his injury.

<div>Jon and and his wife Chynna had been married just four months when this incident occurred. Chynna explained to me that Jon had no life insurance, they just built a large shop, and she is taking on the upkeep of their 40-acre property. Chynna is a strong-willed person and I know she will continue being strong moving forward.

Because of Traci's prior battle with this terrible disease (and the nature of having less than stellar insurance through the "exchange" as a self-employed person), she needs our financial assistance in a big way!

<div>Without our support, <strong>Traci will not be able to receive the cancer treatment she needs, including a bone marrow transplant</strong>. Further, because of the treatment Traci requires, she will not be able to work for an extended period of time. Her immune system will be reset to zero following her bone marrow transplant, which will require complete isolation and extreme caution by Traci concerning her activities, stress level, and exposure to outside contaminants in her environment. We are therefore asking for assistance in cash to help Traci cover her living expenses and costs.

<div>Hello, My name is Tracy Sauerwein, I am from Vacaville California. I have 2 beautiful daughters &amp; an amazing granddaughter I am striving and fighting hard to live for everyday.

<div>I had a bowel rupture May 19, 2018, from a cancerous tumor on my large bowel; Had Complete Renal failure, was on dialysis for 2 months, Life Support for 32 days, and within a four month period underwent 6 different surgeries, and ultimately was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Carcinoid Cancer. I was given a 10% survival rate.

<div>From the initial bowel rupture, I was then diagnosed with Abdominal Compartment Syndrome

<div>I have underwent multiple additional surgeries, rounds of radiation, which has not been successful, and has caused more issues, &amp; complications.

<div>Since then, I have battled multiple continuous infections back to back, been on antibiotics one after another for the last 5 years.

</div>

<div>It wasn’t until recently that I discovered the well water on the property I was given as a Life Estate has been contaminated with Ecoli, which has been a cause of the continuous infections. I am currently unable to bathe, or use the water in my home, and cannot afford to move.

<div>This week, I had my first round of Chemo, and am trying to raise money to get a water filtration system installed on my property to clean the water and allow me to live comfortably without additional complications.

This campaign to help raise money for Justin, Jessica, and their 3 children. They lost their home to a horrible fire in Glen Ellen and are currently staying with family. They walked away safe but with only the clothes on their back. For those in the VPD family who don't know him, Justin was a Vallejo Police Officer before transferring closer to Santa Rosa closer to home and it an amazing guy who would do anything for anyone. My hope is that we can come together and help their family during this horrific time.  Justin and Jessica are friends of  mine and I used to work with Justin. All money will go directly to them to help recover.
