Hello, Lowcountry friends, neighbors, and community members,
Today, we are reaching out on behalf of someone who has spent decades giving so much of themselves to others. Theola “Teejay” Blume is facing significant challenges following recent medical setbacks, and we are asking our community to come together in support of a person who has long been a cherished part of our lives.
For more than 35 years, Teejay has been a familiar and welcoming presence throughout the Lowcountry hospitality community. Many of you have been greeted by Teejay’s warm smile and caring spirit while enjoying meals at local favorites such as Crazy Crab, Reilley’s, Skillets, Seabrook’s, and many other restaurants over the years. Through hard work, kindness, and dedication, Teejay has touched countless lives and helped make our community feel like home.
Now, at 72 years young, Teejay is facing a difficult season. Medical challenges have created a financial burden that threatens the peace and stability everyone deserves while focusing on recovery. We are asking those who are able to consider offering support to help ease the stress of housing expenses, utility bills, and other daily necessities so Teejay can concentrate on healing rather than worrying about how to make ends meet.
In addition to financial assistance, we would be deeply grateful for any information regarding state, local, or nonprofit programs that may provide support during this time. Every contribution, resource, referral, and act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for opening your hearts to someone who has spent a lifetime serving others. Together, we can help ensure that Teejay feels the same compassion, generosity, and community spirit that has been shared with so many throughout the years.
