JJ and his wife Lynne have always been the kind of people who put others first. Whether volunteering for local organizations or supporting their children and grandchildren, they have poured their time and love into making Penn Yan a better place for everyone. Now, they are facing a challenge that no family should have to face alone.

 Recently, JJ suffered an unexpected brain bleed after complications from pancreatic cancer. He is currently in the ICU in a medically induced coma, fighting with everything he has to come back to his family. While JJ battles for his health, Lynne is doing everything she can to be by his side and support their daughters. Unfortunately, Lynne has exhausted her leave time at work and is now facing a loss of pay, as well as having to pay for insurance out of pocket. The daily travel costs to and from Rochester, combined with mounting medical bills, are creating significant financial strain for the family.

Help Chad Gray Through His Healing Journey

<div>Hi, my name is Monica and huge dog lover. My dear friend Kellin just rescued Jace, a 8-10 month old husky/German Shepard mix, from a horrible situation. You see, Jace was found tied to a tree with no food or water. It was quickly apparent that he’d been there for some time as his collar was so tight on his neck that it started to embed into his skin. And under that fluffy coat of fur,  his ribs and hip bones were protruding. Jace had only been with Kellin for about a week when things suddenly got very bad. Jace had no energy, he couldn’t keep any food/water down and was having bloody stools. An urgent visit to the local vet revealed he was positive for the Parvovirus. For anyone who doesn’t know what Parvo is, it is an extremely contagious virus with a high mortality rate, affecting a dogs entire body. Jace, was rushed to the 24-hour emergency vet at Buffalo animal hospital, where he was admitted with a guarded prognosis on Friday, July 21st.  If fighting a deadly infection wasn’t bad enough, an X-ray today (July 24th) showed this sweet boy also has a metal object into his intestines. The next 24 hours will reveal whether emergency surgery will be required to remove it. Kellin and Jace are fighting for his life and they could use some help.  As many of us know, vet bills can extremely expensive, especially for animals who need 24 hour care (one night of level 1 care exceeds $1000). <div>Hi, my name is Renee and I'm raising funds for my brother in law's medical expenses.  Dave was in a terrible car accident on May 9th resulting in major injuries.  He had to be extracted from his vehicle by rescue workers, then airlifted to the hospital where he has been on life support.  There was severe damage to his spinal cord which has rendered him paralyzed from the waist down. My sister, Heather Durkee, his wife, has remained at the hospital everyday since the accident. She will soon be out of paid vacation time and will have to go on unpaid medical leave.  They have health insurance, but it is not going to come close to covering all of the expenses.  They both are suffering enough right now, I don't want them to have to worry about how they are going to pay these bills.  Any help would be extremely appreciated.  And, please, if you can, say a prayer for them.  He is not completely out of the woods yet

Dave Durkee's Medical Expenses

As many of you know Ed has been in the ICU at Strong since January 23rd  due to Covid. He has been on a ventilator since January 27th. Ed has had many curve balls thrown at him but he continues to fight! I set up this page to help with his medical bills now and the future and to help his family with their living expenses. Ed had just started a new job and was only there about a week before he tested positive for Covid. His condition is very serious and they are doing everything they can at Strong.  Ed is not giving up and we know he will pull through but will have a long road ahead of him. Covid has done a number on his lungs, kidneys and heart.  He has been on dialysis for a couple of weeks because he is in renal kidney failure. Please consider donating to support my big brother who would do anything in the world for his family and friends! He is a loving brother, son, father, husband, uncle, cousin, nephew and grandfather!
