<div>At 81 and 77, they are now facing an incredibly difficult season: <strong>both Louis and Ruby have cancer</strong>. They go to chemo treatments together every Tuesday.

<div> In the middle of these health challenges, they are also dealing with serious needs in their home. Right now, the goal is to help them remain in their home while they focus on getting through each day with dignity and peace.

<div> Donations for Louis and Ruby will go toward <strong>home repairs</strong>, building materials, and licensed contractors to complete the work needed to bring their home up to code. This support will help make their living space safer and more secure, so they can stay in their home instead of facing even more uncertainty during an already overwhelming time.

<div>UPDATE: I'm not sure where Koby will use doggie daycare, but based on what I found in the area, if he prepays for a full month (20 working days per month), and a few 1/2 days for interviews, and $100.00 for dog food, as well as fees that Gofundme will take, then it's more reasonable that he will need at least $1500.00. I hope there are still people in the community willing to help to reach the goal!

<div>I recently learned about a man in my community who is currently experiencing homelessness and living out of his car with his beloved dog, his loyal companion.
</div>

<div>Like many of us, he is trying to improve his situation and get back on his feet. The problem is, there is one major obstacle standing in the way of job interviews and steady employment: his dog.
</div>

</div>
<div>Because he has a large dog and no stable place to leave him safely during interviews or work hours, finding reliable care has become one of the biggest barriers to moving forward. Many people have wanted to help, but ongoing dog care is understandably difficult to commit to. Sure, some people will say to get rid of the dog, but if you have ever had a pet, that isn't an easy decision.

<div>That’s where we hope our community can step in.

<div>The goal of this fundraiser is simple: to help cover temporary doggy daycare/boarding costs, and some dog food, for a few months, so he can:

<div>Pamela Zipfel passed away unexpectedly on December 3rd, 2025. Pam leaves behind her beloved husband Jerry Zipfel, as well as her one and only son, Joseph Wisniewski.

<div>You all know she was one of a kind. She lit up every room. She would give the shirt off her back. She had a heart of gold.
</div>

Donate in loving memory of Pamela Zipfel

Misty and her 4-year-old grandson are facing an unimaginable crisis. After suffering four heart attacks this summer and undergoing heart surgery, Misty has been left unable to work. She has always been a hard worker, but her severe heart condition now makes employment impossible. On top of her own health struggles, Misty has temporary custody of her young grandson, who is showing signs of severe Autism Spectrum Disorder but has not yet received an official diagnosis. This means he is not eligible for specialized assistance or funding, making their situation even more challenging.

 Their living situation took a devastating turn when a car crashed into the house where they were staying, forcing them to leave. With nowhere else to go, they received temporary help from the Red Cross and were placed in a hotel. Unfortunately, the family support they once had has disappeared, and the funding for their hotel stay is ending this Friday. Without immediate help, Misty and her grandson will be homeless in the middle of winter.

 We are working tirelessly to help Misty navigate and expedite her disability and social security applications, connect with legal aid to secure custody, and work with local agencies to get her grandson the diagnosis and support he needs. Your donation will go directly toward securing a safe place to live, food, and basic necessities while these long-term solutions are put in place. Your immediate support is what keeps them safe until those solutions are in place. Any amount helps and is deeply appreciated.

On 6/11/2020 I lost the love of my life Cinjin Ty McColley. He has reached so many people throughout his life and made such an impact. Im so thankful to have had the time I did with him. Cinjin McColley's Memorial Service

Rosa's Lounge has been closed by executive order to achieve social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic, which will save many, many precious lives.  <br /><br />Although Rosa's Lounge is closed, we are committed to doing everything we can to support our local musicians and staff who depend on us for their livelihoods. From March 17 to March 21, we live streamed performances, temporarily maintaining the livelihoods of the artists scheduled to perform. However, the stay-at-home order will prevent us from continuing with the live streams, because the musicians must stay home and night clubs must cease all operations.<br /><br />Our employees - bar staff and door person - are now out of work. This is a tremendous financial hardship, which they are accepting with stoicism and selflessness to prevent our public health system from being overwhelmed and many friends, neighbors, loved ones, as well as complete strangers, dying needlessly. <br /><br />Our goal is to raise sufficient funds to replace the wages of our bar staff and doorman. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">None of the funds will be used for any other purpose but to pay our own wages</span>. The funds will be distributed in proportion to the wages our employees normally earn when Rosa's Lounge is open. I will apply for emergency loans to help Rosa's Lounge and my own family survive this crisis and will repay the loans from revenue after we reopen. Rosa's Lounge has been keeping the blues alive since 1984, and we will overcome this crisis.<br /><br />We appreciate from the bottom of our hearts your support for our bar staff and doorman during the coronavirus pandemic. Support Rosa's Lounge Employees

On May 5, 2018 Steve and Candi Peters were hit by a motorist on Ridge Road in Griffith, Indiana while traveling on their motorcycle. They both have received extensive injuries and are currently still in the hospital &amp; on the Road To Recovery! They will not be able to work for the time being and are going to have some hospital bills, as well as rehab. Candi and Steve are outstanding members of the community who  are always helping others. They are such a loving couple to their two son’s as well as great friends to many. I know this will be an extremely difficult time for them. Any help you can give them will be extremely appreciated!
