My best friend Rebecca is a hard working wife and fur baby mom who has always been there for others. Recently, after multiple visits to doctors in her home state, Rebecca was referred to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. There, she was diagnosed with Geniculate Neuralgia—a rare and extremely painful nerve condition caused by an abnormal blood vessel compressing a branch of her facial nerve. This diagnosis has changed her life in so many ways. She can no longer ride her motorcycle, enjoy music, or do the everyday things she used to love. The pain in her ear is just too much. Despite being young, she has already faced significant health challenges, including being diagnosed with Endometriosis at 18, a non-curable reproductive disease. Through it all, she remains strong and determined, but the constant pain and uncertainty have put a real damper on her everyday life. Since her diagnosis, she has had to travel to Mayo Clinic multiple times and has many more trips to come. The costs of travel, hotels, food, medical bills, and missed wages from time off work are adding up quickly. We are reaching out to our community for help to ease some of this burden and allow her to focus on healing. Rebecca is the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone else in need, and now she needs our support.
