Help Tyler & Fiancé Find Safe Shelter
$2,400 to raise
I am a 27-year-old Marine veteran who recently moved to Los Angeles with my fiancé, hoping for a fresh start. We spent our savings staying in the cheapest hotels we could find while searching for work, but after countless rejections, we found ourselves on the streets. My fiancé has little life experience and no work history, so finding a job has been especially tough for her. I came to LA with dreams of working in filming and acting, but when that didn’t work out, I started looking for any job I could find. I’m now trying to get work at a local restaurant, but the thought of leaving my fiancé alone on the street terrifies me. Our bag is heavy, and I worry every moment about her safety and what might happen if I’m not there to protect her.
The funds raised will go directly toward temporary housing, so we can stay clean, shower, and have a safe place to rest. This would allow me to work and save money, knowing my fiancé is safe and cared for. No matter how hard things get, I refuse to give up on us.
To everyone who considers helping us, you are truly amazing and wonderful people. Giving to strangers takes incredible kindness, and I hope to pay it forward one day and bring hope to others, just as you have done for us. Asking for help was something I was scared to do, and making this GoFundMe felt like admitting defeat, but I’m fighting to stay positive for our well-being. I pray that everyone who supports us receives nothing but blessings in their life. Thank you for reading our story and for any help you can offer.
