I never imagined I’d be in this situation. After being fired from my job because of my disability, everything started to unravel. I lost my apartment and ended up on the streets. Since then, things have only gotten harder—I lost my belongings, my storage, and now the truck I was living in has broken down. The alternator and serpentine belt are gone, and without my truck, I have nowhere to go. It all started because of my bad hand, even though I was still able to do my work. I had what I needed, and now I have nothing. The Florida heat is relentless, and living without air conditioning has made every day a struggle. I’m trying to stay hopeful and keep pushing forward, but it’s hard when you feel like you have no leads or stepping stones to get back on your feet. The funds from this fundraiser will help me repair my vehicle so I can look for work, save up, and hopefully find a place to live again. Having my truck running would mean I could get to job interviews and appointments, and just have a safe place to rest. Sometimes, no matter what you do, life knocks you down, but you never give up. If you’re able to help, it would mean more than I can express. It would be a miracle to get my vehicle running again and have a chance to move forward.
