- Hi, my name is Daniel. I’m 26 years old, and just a short while ago, I had a future full of hope, purpose, and passion. That all changed in an instant. A devastating car accident left me with life-altering injuries—most critically, a crushed right lung. Since that day, breathing has no longer been something I can take for granted. Every breath I take depends on an oxygen machine. I can no longer walk far, sleep properly, or even step outside without planning how I’ll get enough air. It's a struggle that affects not only my body, but also my spirit. Before the accident, I was working as a nurse—a job that meant the world to me. Caring for others gave me a sense of purpose. But now, I’m the one who needs care. I can’t do the job I love because of my condition. It's not just the career I’ve lost, but the sense of identity and independence that came with it. To regain some of that freedom, I urgently need a portable oxygen device—something small and mobile enough to allow me to move around, see people, and maybe even work part-time again. But even more crucially, there is a light at the end of this very dark tunnel: a lung transplant. It’s the only real hope I have of breathing normally again and reclaiming my life. But the road to that transplant is long, uncertain, and incredibly expensive. Living in Switzerland, the costs associated with surgery, travel, medications, and recovery are overwhelming—far beyond what I or my family can afford alone. That’s why I’m reaching out, with all the vulnerability and hope I have left, to ask for your help. Your donation could be the reason I breathe without a machine. The reason I return to the work I love. The reason I get a second chance. Whether you can give a little or a lot, know that every contribution matters. You’re not just helping with a medical bill—you’re helping restore a life, a dream, and a future. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story—and for giving me hope when I need it most. With deep gratitude, Daniel
