<div>Please help us recover after Altadena fires. My name is Kristine Banuelos and my childhood home burned down. My family and I are heartbroken that our Altadena home was destroyed by the fire. We thank god everyone made it safe. Having lived in the house since 1984, my 75-year-old grandma Aurora Garcia is terrified, depressed, and anxious without an unstable place to stay. She is unable to do anything on her own and is physically disabled due to complications from surgery she had after recovering from bladder cancer. She needs round the clock care. <div>A news crew covering the recent fires in Los Angeles found Liz Lerner at the end of her driveway in Pacific Palisades, desperate for someone to help evacuate her.

<div>She's 84, doesn't drive, and without any nearby family to help her.
</div>

<div>One last remaining neighbor kindly agreed to take her out of the wildfire zone, and Liz suffered a heart attack while being evacuated. She was dropped off at the hospital and is now recovering.

<div>Liz's family home has been entirely destroyed by the fire. It was built by her father, who was himself a firefighter, in 1949. Liz is living off social security, and the insurance company canceled her policy on the house several years ago. She took nothing with her when she evacuated apart from a a plastic bag containing a few medicines and her phone.

<div>Liz is now being moved to an assisted living facility. This fundraiser is to help her get back on her feet after this devastating tragedy.

Help The Chisleys After Eaton Canyon Fire

<p>My family has dealt with heartbreaking loss losing my childhood bedroom after a freak fire got started when we were out of the house. It burned The fire department has said the air quality and damages are too bad to go back into our home for any reason. In the meantime we are staying in the garage but it’s cold and we don’t have the things we need. i’ve created this go fund me to help my family get back on our feet and find somewhere for us to live temporarily and also to use for repair costs. it’s so hard knowing my safe space is just gone. the place ive lived and had so many memories in. Grateful the rest of the house remains but the costs of damages are so bad that it’s going to take us a while to rebuild. The money you donate will go towards relocating, rebuilding, mental support for the trauma of the event, food and clothing and shelter.
