Help Us Bring Halo Glow to Life A Community Safety Initiative Inspired by Shannon Rushing My name is Shanta Norton, and I am the founder of Halo Glow — a developing pedestrian and student visibility safety initiative created with one purpose: helping save lives. After the heartbreaking loss of my sister, Shannon Rushing, on a dark roadway in Ocala, Florida, I knew something had to change. Shannon was struck and killed in an area with limited lighting, poor visibility, and no safe pedestrian infrastructure. Since that day, I have dedicated myself to advocating for safer communities and creating innovative visibility solutions that may help prevent future tragedies. Halo Glow is being developed as a modern pedestrian safety and visibility system designed to improve visibility for: * students waiting at bus stops, * pedestrians walking in low-light conditions, * runners and cyclists, * roadside workers, * and families in underserved communities lacking sidewalks and lighting. Our goal is to create practical, community-focused safety products that are effective, comfortable, modern, and highly visible without creating distractions for drivers. At this stage, Halo Glow is currently in development and pending intellectual property protection. Funding raised through this campaign will support: * prototype development, * safety testing, * product engineering, * manufacturing consultations, * patent and trademark expenses, * community awareness campaigns, * and future pilot safety programs.
