Support for my family Earlier this month, my family and I were displaced after a major water leak made our home uninhabitable. Right now, we are staying in a small suite in Winston-Salem while we wait for insurance and repairs so we can hopefully get back home. In the middle of all of this, many of our everyday items and clothing were lost or ruined by the water intrusion. Trinity has already started back to school, and I am still caring for Scarlet throughout the day, including bringing her with me to doctor appointments and errands. With fall coming, I am especially worried about being able to provide the clothing and essentials the girls need during this time. This situation has affected every part of our daily life. My surgeries are currently on hold because I need to be available to care for the girls, and I cannot manage being down for 6 to 8 weeks while we are in the middle of this crisis. Construction at our home has also come to a halt while we wait for the insurance check so we can move forward with repairs. Any support will help us replace lost clothing and basic necessities, care for Trinity and Scarlet as they adjust to this difficult season, and cover everyday expenses while we work to put our home back together. Our home is currently uninhabitable and we are staying in a small suite in Winston-Salem. Trinity has started back to school and I am still keeping Scarlet throughout the day. Scarlett accompany me to my doctors appointments and errands that I have to run around town. A lot of our everyday items and clothing have been either lost or ruined by the water intrusion at our home. With fall coming, I’m worried that I may not be able to afford or have access to clothing that the girls need. My surgeries have been put on hold due to the fact that I’ve had to fall into the role of mom and dad and I can’t manage the girls while being down for 6 to 8 weeks after a surgery. I know so many of y’all helped us in the past and we are eternally grateful for all support that has been given to us. I truly don’t know where we would be without the kindness and generosity of you all construction at my home has grind to a halt. I am waiting for the insurance check to arrive, which will hopefully be here this week so that I can order all the supplies needed to repair our home. In the meantime, I am struggling to make ends meet. I humbly ask for any support that you may have to offer. I’m really trying to do my best and raise these girls the way they should be raised but some days I feel like I fall short of fulfilling that role. Please consider helping us during this difficult time while we were trying to put our house back together and living off limited supplies that we were able to retrieve from the home.
