Alezia Hamill

My name is Alezia, and I am currently working full time as a Medical Assistant while pursuing my bachelor's degree in nursing. I just completed my fall semester, and my spring semester begins January 7th. Balancing work and school has been challenging, but I am determined to achieve my dream of becoming a nurse. Recently, changes regarding the “One Big Bill Act” have reduced the amount of financial aid I receive through FAFSA. This has left a significant gap in my tuition funding. As I enter the clinical and core portion of my nursing program, I will be required to cut back on work hours, which means I will have less income to cover my bills, food, and other necessities. I am facing the difficult choice of taking out personal loans just to make ends meet while continuing my education. The funds I raise through this campaign will go directly toward my out-of-pocket school and living expenses.
