<div>Ares was the beloved husband and best friend of Erica, and the fiercely proud father of Ethan and Liam. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, Ares found his true calling not only in service to his country but also in the joy of grilling and coaching youth sports. He poured his heart into every game, every practice, and every meal.

<div>Coach Roper devoted his springs and early summers to Bobcats Baseball, and his late summers and falls to Bulldogs Football. Beyond the field and the kitchen, he was a fixture in the stands, cheering on Ethan at Andrew High School and Liam with the Bulldogs wrestling program. His presence was larger than life, his encouragement unwavering, and his impact immeasurable.

<div>Words fall short of capturing the depth of this loss. Ares was a father to Ethan and Liam—and a father figure to countless others in our community. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Rally for the Roper Family: Honoring Ares

<div>Brett had a vivacious love for life, laughter, kids, animals and most of all, football. Anyone who knew brett loved him. He was a gentle giant and a force to be reckoned with. Brett was happiest surrounded by family, friends and football.

Raising Funeral Expenses For Brett Suter

As many of you know, at the end of May, Rick Sabo was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident involving a UHAUL truck making an illegal u-turn. His injuries were catastrophic requiring him to be airlifted to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Unfortunately, he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury requiring a surgery called a craniotomy to relieve pressure on his brain and several broken bones including his arm, ribs, both orbital bones which will likely require additional surgeries as he embarks on a long road to recovery.  As the days pass in ICU, Rick has shown several positive signs of progress both cognitively and physically.  Despite his family being in Ohio every day since the accident, it was not until this week that his wife, Laurel and children, Ricky and Brett were able to visit on a very limited basis due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.    <br /><br />Moving forward Rick will be airlifted back to Chicago this week to start rehab to be closer to family and friends at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, the best rehab facility in the country for traumatic brain injury therapy. At this point we do not know the full extent of his medical bills, but just between near term care costs, job disruption, lodging costs, and likely long term medical needs we believe them to be substantial. This GoFundMe is being started to help assist the Sabo Family with any immediate needs to ensure Rick gets the best care and transport as well as starting his long term care fund to help with the unexpected and sobering reality of these financial expenses.  <br /><br />The family is overwhelmed with the amount of love, encouragement and support they have received and thank you for the generosity provided. <strong>The Gillane - McGrath Family</strong> has suffered a terrible loss, and have much grieving ahead of them.  It is unfortunate that their oldest son was taken from them way too soon.  Shane was a handsome and bright college student.  He was also a loving son and  a great big brother.  <br /><br />We are asking all of our friends and families for donations to help alleviate some of the burden the family will have  and allow Colette and Vinnie (Shane's Mom and Dad) to give their son a proper burial.   <br /><br />Any donation helps and is a true blessing to their family during this difficult time.

I’m sure most of you know this already but one of the most amazing human beings in this world and one of my closest friends was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer. But for those of you who do you know this man you’re probably saying right now “oh Droszcz, Remember the time when he… “ And then a smile comes out. I’ve never met another man who can light up a room and get everybody to laugh even if it’s laughing at him or with him. The dedication he’s given to his wife and kids it’s some thing we all wish we would be able to do. Please find it in your hearts to give anything to this family to help pay some expenses whether it’s medical or personal. As Dan fights he knows we are all fighting with him. Stay strong my brother Heaven is not ready for someone like you yet!
