I run Mega Arte Riding Academy and MARA Rescue farm Sanctuary in Elfin Forest. Since 2000 we have rescued and saved, horses and ponies, sheep and goats, chickens, dogs and many other farm animals from feed lots, kill auctions, animal control relinquishments and terrible cruelty, and we have rehabilitated and given a forever home to 100’s of different animals who were displaced and had run out of every other option. We now need everyone’s help, due to Covid 19 endemic we have lost most of our sponsors, ranch helpers and riding students who we heavily rely on to help cover the enormous feed and care costs of these wonderful deserving animals. We are now struggling to cover the feed and veterinary needs of our 12 resident horses and ponies here along with all the other animals due to losing almost all of our students and ALL group parties and larger events which was our main way we supported the 50 + animals at the ranch. We are about to have a baby horse born here end of April and we need to buy horse panels for a turn out pasture for her and the baby to be safe in and get exercise during the day. We desperately need help with the cost of supplements and animal feed, bedding, farrier and vet care for all our animal residents along with financial help to buy the horse fencing panels to create more space for our herd. Since the pandemic started we have been struggling with all the feed, medical and care costs of all our farm animals and horses that call this amazing Sanctuary home!  We currently MUST build a new barn at MARA rescue for our rescue horses so that each can have more space, as so many are in our now overcrowded mare motel! We also want to be able to take in a few more rescue horses who desperately need homes which our students will also get to help in the training and rehabilitation if we can facilitate this.
