<div>Pastor Robin Essex was our beloved church Pastor, who faithfully served at Tramway Christian Fellowship for 10 years.

<div>He was deeply loved by our church family and gave so much of his life to serving God, encouraging others, preaching the Gospel and caring for people both in the UK and overseas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alongside his wife, Rana, and his daughters Ruth and Lydia, Pastor Robin also served in ministry in places including Albania and Kosovo, continuing to give his time, energy and heart to the work of God.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recently, at just 65 years old, Pastor Robin sadly passed away after a very short illness with cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His passing has left Rana and the girls not only grieving the sudden loss of a husband and father, but also facing an extremely difficult financial situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Pastor Robin had no pension or savings, and there was no insurance or financial provision in place to cover his funeral. Rana is now faced with the unexpected cost of laying her husband to rest.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the same time, the home they have been renting is being sold, meaning Rana must also find somewhere new to live and meet the significant costs involved in securing and moving into another rental property.
</div>

</div>
<div>Rana works full-time, but her income is modest. One of her daughters also works full-time on a low income. Despite working hard, the financial pressures they are now facing are considerable.
</div>

Help Rana Essex After the Loss of Her Husband Pastor Robin

<div><strong>Alvin Bachan </strong>is a loving husband grandfather and family man who urgently needs heart surgery to save his life. At 60 years old, Ivans health has deteriorated to the point where everyday things like breathing comfortably sleeping through the night, or spending time with his grandchildren have become a struggle.

<div>The surgery he needs is vital and cost approximately £10,000, which is far beyond what Ivan and his wife can afford on their own.
</div>

<div>My name is Monica Hart. I am setting up this <strong>GoFUNDME</strong> on behalf of my nephew Ivan who lives in Jamaica. Jamaica is not currently supported by <strong>GoFUNDME,</strong> so Ivan and his wife have asked me to organise this fundraiser for them.

<div>Ivan lives with his wife and their four young grandchildren, who depend on him both emotionally and practically. He is a devoted husband and a deeply caring grandfather. Due to Ivan's worsening health, neither he or his wife is currently able to work, placing enormous financial and emotional strain on the family. Alongside his heart condition, Ivan also suffers from serious eyesight problems that requires surgery, but he has been unable to afford treatment.

<div>In November 2025 Ivan became seriously unwell, experiencing severe difficulty breathing and sleeping. He initially visited a doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis, but the medication provided did not help. As his condition worsened, he sought a second opinion and was referred to the hospital, where he was admitted for further testing. Doctors discovered that Ivan had suffered a heart attack. He remained in hospital for a week before being discharged with medication.

<div>Following this Ivan consulted a private heart specialist (which was funded by the family), and underwent further tests. He has now been diagnosed with Ischemic heart disease, resulting to a weakened heart, medically described as heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). This is a serious and life-threatening condition that requires urgent surgical intervention.

<div>Ivan has always been someone who puts his family first. Now, he and his loved ones are facing an incredibly frightening time, unsure how they will manage without help.
