Myles came into our lives and immediately changed everything. From the very beginning, his journey has been filled with hospital rooms, specialists, long drives, and moments that required more strength than we ever knew we had. He has spent more time traveling to and from appointments than most children ever should, and yet, through it all, Myles remains pure light. His smile, his laugh, his joy… they remind us every day why we keep going.
Right now, Myles is in transitional care, and we are grateful that transportation support is currently provided. This has allowed him to get safely to and from his appointments during this phase of care. However, this support will not last forever.
Once Myles is discharged and home full-time, our family will be responsible for transporting him to all of his medical appointments ourselves. At that point, relying on insurance-based transportation or third-party services, often unreliable, delayed, or ill-equipped for his needs- simply won’t be a safe or sustainable option for our son.
As Myles grows, so do his needs. A wheelchair-accessible minivan equipped with Braun mobility support is not a luxury for our family... it’s a necessity. It will allow us to transport Myles safely and comfortably, give him dignity, and ensure that nothing stands in the way of his access to care.
We are about a year out from making this a reality. Both of us are working overtime and putting in long hours with the goal of purchasing a transport minivan by next December. Still, the cost is significant, and we know we can’t do this alone.
This fundraiser isn’t just about a vehicle, it’s about independence, safety, and peace of mind. It’s about ensuring that when Myles comes home, we are ready. Every donation, every share, and every act of support brings us one step closer to giving our boy the life and care he deserves.
Thank you for walking alongside us in Myles’ journey. Your love and support mean more than we can ever express.
