My life changed this year. A diagnosis led to a total gastrectomy — my stomach fully removed — followed by ongoing chemo. I’ve had to relearn how to eat, how to walk without losing my breath, how to simply get through a day. The hardest part isn’t the surgery. It’s watching this hit my family. Heidi has stood by me through every appointment while caring for our daughter, born just months before this began. I can’t work construction right now, and that uncertainty weighs heavy — bills don’t pause for chemo. This fund keeps us stable while I focus on healing: medical costs, basic living expenses, staying afloat. Every dollar means more time with my daughter, less weight on Heidi, and one less fear while I fight this. Thank you for seeing us. — Diego
