Jacob is my 17-year-old orange tabby, and he has been my loyal companion for so many years. Recently, he developed a severe Belladonna dental periodontal infection, which quickly led to nasal, eye, and ear infections. On top of that, Jacob has been struggling to move his bowels, and it’s been heartbreaking to watch him in discomfort. I took him to the vet for immediate relief, and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic and a pain medication. While I was able to cover the cost of the antibiotic, I simply cannot afford the pain medicine that Jacob needs to be comfortable right now. These two medicines are crucial for Jacob’s comfort and well-being. They will help take him out of pain and allow us to move forward with further evaluations for diabetes and kidney issues. My hope is to get him comfortable so that, whatever the next steps may be, I know I’ve done everything I can to help him feel better. Jacob means the world to me, and I want to make sure he gets the care he deserves in his golden years. I am humbled to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this alone.
