My good friend Saqer has been living in a hellscape for many years due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. We have worked together for about two years, building wells and supplying food, shelter, and medicine to those in need. Whether it was purchasing water vacs for flooded shelters, providing food and water, or bringing sweets to cheer up the children, Saqer has always been at the heart of these efforts. Now, Saqer and his family are in immediate danger. The area they live in has been designated a red zone, and they have only 48 hours to evacuate before it is targeted. The funds raised will cover transport costs to get Saqer and his family out of harm’s way, so they can continue their vital work supporting others in Gaza.
