These past couple of days have been very hard on me and our family, getting updates from the hospital every few hours to see if my cousin Eva E Cabrera would pull through and come home. After fighting long and hard and in ICU for the past week. She received her wings this morning August 18, 2021. Eva was a few weeks short of turning 25. She leaves behind 3 young children, Angel, Yvette, and James. Our family would appreciate any donations for funeral costs and miscellaneous expenses. The remaining leader of our family.  <br />Today, he needs our help.  <br />While following his lifelong dream of retiring on a tropical island, he became deathly ill on Sunday, November 15th, in Isla Mujeres, Mexico.  <br />He laid in his apartment for 3 days, violently ill, until his landlord realized he hadn't seen him in 3 days, and knew something was terribly wrong.  <br />Jose went to check on Jeff in the middle of the night, and immediately took him to the local clinic on Isla Mujeres.  <br />He was transferred to the Cancun General Hospital the following morning.  <br />After several test results came back, we were told he is diabetic. <br />His blood sugar level <strong>skyrocketed to 996</strong>.  <br />Normal blood sugar levels less than <strong>140</strong> is normal. <br />(He should have died, or in the very least slipped into a diabetic coma).  <br />He did not die.  However, he has several large kidney stones and is in the beginning stages of kidney failure.  <br />Being in the service industry his entire life, he does not have medical insurance.  Chuck and I flew to Cancun on Tuesday, and flew him back to Texas yesterday. <br />For now, he is staying with us. <br />He is stable for now, but will need immediate medical attention, dialysis, and will have to have at least one surgery to remove his kidney stones, as they are too large to pass.  <br />If you would like to assist with his financial burden, all donations are greatly appreciated, and will go directly to Jeff's growing medical bills.<br /><br />On behalf of Jeff, we appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support over the past week, and undoubtedly over the next several months.<br /><br />Thank you!

Helping Jeff McGinn Fight Kidney Failure

<strong>Please help us raise funds for legal counsel for this gentleman who lost his home possibly due to elderly abuse.</strong><br /><br />Hoang Nguyen is a 72-year-old Vietnamese immigrant, who doesn't really read English. His family said he's also been mentally unstable ever since he fell from a ladder eight years ago. It's a combination they believe made him an easy target.<br /><br />Wednesday, under the watchful eyes of police, Nguyen and his daughters packed up two decades worth of memories in just four hours. It was the end of a months-long fight to stay in a home they believe should be rightfully his.<br /><br />It all started in May when Nguyen said he met a woman at a code compliance hearing where he faced thousands of dollars in fines for a messy lawn.<br /><br />"She asked me to sign a paper that my children would not complain that she cleaned the house and did a good thing for me. And I signed it. I didn't know what it was about," Hoang Nguyen said.<br /><br />But instead of a contract to clean, what Nguyen really signed was a legal document clearly stating it was a quitclaim deed. His signature released his home, valued at $181,000, to Armentha and Ebrima Faye for just $5,100.<br /><br />It's money Nguyen claims he never got.<br /><br />Since then, he's been evicted. But he refused to leave for several months, until police arrived Wednesday.<br /><br />Though he and his friends and family have called Fort Worth police, law enforcement said there's nothing they can do. Help Hoang Nguyen seek legal counsel

On December 26, 2015 an EF4 tornado hit Garland, Texas, as father, brother, and husband, Leo Mota, was driving home from work in Rockwall. The tornado blew his lawn service truck and trailer off of the highway, causing his still missing 19 year old passenger to be ejected from the vehicle and Leo to be thrown around the cab, resulting in severe brain trauma. He is currently on life support at Plano Medical Center with extreme brain swelling, outcome uncertain. <br />Leo is the primary provider for his family, his wife Maria and four small children, Nancy, Erik, Dulce, and Camilla. The family does not have health insurance and this storm has put an even greater financial strain on the already struggling family. God forbid if his condition worsens and Leo does not recover, the family will need money for not only medical expenses, but for his funeral and basic living expenses. Any donation will help this family through their darkest hours. The goal needs to be met as soon as possible, since the family is without income with Leo in his condition. <br />My name is Teresa Wisdom. The Mota children attend the elementary school at which I work. They also lived two streets over from myself and my family. My children would also baby sit the Mota's youngest two daughters as their parents struggled to make ends meet. Over the years my family has grown close to the Mota's, and this tragedy strikes close to my heart. Myself and the Mota family will be very thankful for donations as well as prayers. <strong>Go Fund IBRA<br /><br />Ibrahim, Ibra for short, was born in Nairobi, Kenya in Africa in 1996. He was born with athetoid cerebral palsy. He has four younger brothers and one sister. His family moved to the United States when he was 13 years old.  His father had to often carry Ibrahim around because he never had a wheelchair.  He started at Watkins Mill High School, but at first his family still didn’t have enough money for a wheelchair, so his dad carried him around the school for the first several weeks.  The school finally got him a used wheelchair, but since he is now 19 years old, the chair is too small and needs new parts.  His parents work several jobs, but cannot afford a new chair for Ibra. <br /><br />We want to help Ibra, so on May 14th and 15th we had a bake sale. We raised $170.96. Since we still need more money, we hope that people in the community can help Ibra. His chair does not fit him anymore, is uncomfortable, and will make his condition worse over time.  He needs cushions to support his back, a proper head support, brakes, and leg supports. We have raised $170.96 so far, but we still need over $7000.00 to fix his chair, and even more to get him a custom powerchair that he could truly benefit from.  <br /><br />This project was created by the students in the LFI (Learning For Independence) program at Watkins Mill High School.  Please donate whatever you can to help our friend.    <br /><br /></strong>

Go Fund Ibra's Power Chair

On Monday, Jan, 26th, 2014, just another normal day turned into tragic loss.....My son Nathan Vandesteen, 31 years of age had been battling alcohol addiction for several years....this past year it looked like he had overcome this incredible hurdle....Monday morning he had a seizure and lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital in Gardner, Mass. where they found he had an internal bleed and never regained consciousness. My son Nathan passed away. The family is heartbroken.  He leaves a beautiful child named Parker Vandesteen who is only 11 years old, who lives with his grandparents in Westminster, Mass.  Nathan loved his son very much but do to his illness could not physically take care of him.  Due to the severity of the disease Nathan never had life insurance to take care of himself or his child in case of something like this.
