Hello everyone. I am reaching out today on behalf of my brother, Christopher Canon, and his beloved dog, Teddy. Christopher is an adult living with developmental disabilities, and Teddy is truly his best friend and constant companion. Recently, Teddy suffered a severe and unexpected accident that has left our family heartbroken and desperate for help. Teddy jumped off the bed and injured his back so badly that he lost control of his bodily functions and can no longer use his back legs. Watching him struggle to move around, dragging his legs behind him, has been devastating for Christopher. Because Christopher lives in a host home paid for by Medicaid and survives on a very limited income, he simply cannot afford the emergency veterinary care Teddy needs. We have not been able to take Teddy to the vet yet because the upfront costs for an emergency exam, X-rays, and treatment are far beyond what Christopher can manage. We are appealing to your kindness and generosity to help Teddy get the urgent care he needs.
