Five weeks ago, I lost all my teeth and was given dentures. Since then, every day has been a struggle—not just to eat, but to feel like myself. My teeth were more than just a way to enjoy food; they were a lifeline to my independence, especially because I only have one arm. Now, simple things like eating, speaking, and even smiling have become sources of anxiety and isolation. I've tried everything to adapt, but nothing has worked, and the loss has left me feeling deeply depressed. Not being able to eat properly has caused me to lose 6 pounds, and I'm feeling dizzy and weak because I can't digest my food. I often have to dump my food and swallow it whole, which isn't healthy or sustainable. Dental implants are my hope for a fresh start. They would restore my ability to eat, speak, and smile confidently, and help me regain the independence I lost.
