To everyone who knows me, you know that asking for help is one of the hardest things for me to do. I’ve always believed in figuring things out on my own. Whether it’s flying across the world with almost no money, sleeping in hostels or on strangers’ couches, or taking any opportunity I could find, About me I always found a way. But today, I’m asking for your support. My name is Yannyck. I’m 19 years old from Switzerland, and I’m a stuntman, dancer, model, content creator, photographer, and actor pursuing one dream: building a career in Hollywood. For the past year, I’ve gone all in. I quit my job and left school to chase a life that most people told me was impossible. Since then, I’ve traveled back and forth between Switzerland and the United States, working every single day to create opportunities instead of waiting for them. I’ve been fortunate enough to experience things I once only dreamed about. I’ve met some of my biggest idols, worked at major events, photographed celebrities, performed on incredible stages, and built connections within the entertainment industry. Every trip has convinced me even more that this is where I’m meant to be. The only thing holding me back now is my visa. Without an O-1 Visa, I can’t legally work in the United States. Every time I start building momentum, I eventually have to pack my bags and fly back to Switzerland because my time runs out. My parents simply don’t have the financial resources to help me with this process. Back home, I work as a waitress to save enough money for flights, hostels, and food. Sometimes I’ve landed in America with only $30 in my pocket, slept wherever I could, and eaten at events just to make every dollar last. I don’t say this because I want sympathy. I say it because I want you to understand how much this dream means to me. I’ve never expected anyone else to build my future. I’ve always been willing to sacrifice, work harder than anyone around me, and bet on myself. But this is one obstacle I can’t overcome alone. The O-1 Visa process—including immigration lawyers, government filing fees, evidence preparation, and legal costs—will cost between $8,000 and $10,000. That’s why I’ve created this fundraiser. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to legally building my career in Los Angeles and pursuing the opportunities I’ve worked so hard to earn.
