<div>This go fund me is for LTS A young boy who lost his life due to youth violence in our community. He was a victim of a stabbing that happened at Valley Cinema on 4/12/2024. He was transported to Mat-Su regional, however, due to his extensive injuries he was medically evacuated via helicopter to Providence in Anchorage. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the emergency medical teams, he succumbed to his injuries during transport.

<div>LTS was a son, nephew, cousin and friend to many. As this is so sudden and a complete tragedy to not only our family but our community as well, this unimaginable loss has completely turned the family's lives upside down and has left us completely shook. As his Aunt, on behalf of my family, I am asking for the public's help to spread this go fund me to raise money to help with any funeral expenses and financial needs while we learn to navigate this heartbreaking, sudden loss.

<span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);">Hi everyone, I am fundraising for my grandmother that was racially attacked today on 3-17-21 market street. I am amazed by her bravery. She was the one that defended herself from this unprovoked attack. But she is now suffering two serious black eyes and one that is bleeding unstoppably. Her wrist has also swelled up. She has been severely affected mentally, physically, and emotionally. She also stated that she is afraid to step out of her home from now on. This traumatic event has left her with PTSD. Although she has health insurance that covers the basics, there are still many medical expenses that cannot be covered on her own. She is a cancer survivor and she also has had diabetes for over 10 years now. The funds that we receive will be used to cover her medical expenses, her therapy treatment, and her bills that we will have to pay constantly from now on. We want to thank everyone that is donating and that has shown my family massive support through this very traumatic event. My heart is with all the other elderly asians that has also been seriously injured or killed in this wave of attacks towards the asian community.</span>

She is the fearless owner of Burn &amp; Bloom an </strong><span style="font-weight:900;">eclectic</span><strong> body movement studio in Anchorage, Alaska. She is also the proud owner of Sons and Daughters </strong><strong>photography, the BARE movement, and certified doula. AlisaMarie is a single mother and proud parent to two amazing boys. <br /><br />Almost three years ago AlisaMarie set out on her yoga journey which led to a momentous transformation. She took a leap of faith and decided to open her own studio in down town Anchorage. She knew despite her fear of being a single mom and risking everything financially she had to open a space that would allow everyone the opportunity to heal and grow with their bodies the way that she did. <br /><br />She understood that she had an obligation to use this gift to transform her community. And she did just that... fast forward a year after opening she was named the top yoga instructor in Anchorage, AK and her studio was thriving to the point of having waitlisted classes due to the number of students filling the space. <br /><br />This was beyond anything she had envisioned. The women (and men) filling this space are from all walks of life. But the common thread was they came to heal. They came to seek comfort and support in this sacred studio and AlisaMarie held the space they needed in order to grow. Despite the success in the studio AlisaMarie stayed true to her commitment to her community and kept her pricing low. When asked why she would not try to make more money especially at the height of the studios success she proudly responded:<br /><br />" It was never about the money. I am here to serve. I want this (whatever this is.. Insert her beautiful laugh) to be accessible to all. I am not "selling" the studio I am offering other the gift of healing so they can take that back into the community and we can rise together."<br /><br />... without warning we were hit as a community by the COVID-19 pandemic. Within two weeks AlisaMarie was forced to close the doors of her thriving business. As the unknown has crept in, there was talk of relief for individuals and business during this crisis. <br /><br />TO DATE AlisaMarie has (NOT) received any support at this time. She has made multiple attempts and has been told like many other things are being processed and there is nothing that can be done at this time. <br /><br />                                            A CALL TO ACTION<br /><br />At this time when the studio will be able to open remains unknown. <br />However, the reality is there is still Rent due for the studio, cost of operating an online platform, not to mention life at home with two small boys. <br /><br />Bringing a space like this to Light takes work and faith and focus and courage and hours of devotion, the clock is ticking, the world is spinning, and we simply do not have time anymore to think small.<br /><br />I am asking that everyone who knows this woman rally together at this time to keep this incredible space alive. Help Haven Get On His Feet

If you ask anyone who knows Reni Goddard-Vaughan, they would say she is one of the most genuine, strong, positive, loving, smart and talented young women they have ever met. She is not only a devoted dancer, who I have had the opportunity to teach, but she is a devoted friend, student, daughter and sister. Reni is a senior in high school, full of love, joy and aspiration, and sees the beauty in almost every situation. She is part of Alaska Dance Theatre's Senior Student Company where she has devoted many hours of rehearsals and dance classes and is a role model to many other young dancers in the school. It is not surprising that her family is just as beautiful, full of love and devotion. <br /><br />Reni has had to undergo an emergency surgery to remove a blood clot that has caused an unexpected financial burden to her family. For a dancer, this can be a devastating halt to not only her training but also a future career. She was admitted into the hospital almost a week ago, after noticing her arm swelling and turning red during a company dance class as she prepared for a performance. After two days of being evaluated in the hospital, Reni was told she must undergo a surgery to partially remove the first rib that is causing an impingement forming the blood clot. During the surgery, she was faced with some complications. Reni's mother, Pili Goddard-Vaughan has been by her side this entire time. By raising money, we would be able to contribute not only towards her medical expenses, but also towards her recovery that she will desperately need. Together, with the help of the community and other artists, we can help her get back on her toes. Anything will help!

<p>Hello friends, family, and anyone else this may reach,<br /><br />My name is Jacqueline Calle and I have recently recieved the news that one of my dearest friends, Carmel Young has been diagnosed <strong>just last week</strong> with a brain tumor measuring 28x22x25mm in size that is life threatning if not removed. She is scheduled to have surgery NEXT Tuesday on April 21, 2015.<br /><br />Two years ago, Carmel was dancing under the world reknown dance company, Dance Theater of Harlem in New York City. Carmel has been dancing for fourteen years and had to stop and move to Anchorage, Alaska to be with her family in order to care for her mother who was suffering from cancer. <br /><br />Just last year, Carmel lost her mother to cancer. You can only imagine what this may feel like for a nineteen year old girl. Today, Carmel is still in Alaska as a full time student.<br /><br />The reason I am writing to you all today, is in high hopes to be able to help out this extraordinary young woman and her beautiful family. The cost of this surgery alone totals $27,000. This does not include other hospital fees, hospital stays, or treatments before and after the surgery.  This is an immense burden to Carmel's family, and her four sisters who live on the opposite side of the country and want nothing more than to be with their younger sister during this incredibly difficult time.To bring them together and to be able to cover any costs of traveling or surgery would be the ULTIMATE gift for Carmel and her loved ones. In order for Carmel to continue her lifes beautiful journey, she needs your help. To me, Carmel is one of the most strongest and inspiring young woman I have ever had the pleasure to call my dear friend, and she surpasses the maturity level of any twenty year old you could possibly imagine. </p>

Our hearts go out to the Wright family for the passing of Brandon Kalief Wright (sunrise) 7/14/94 - (sunset) 6/21/26. Brandon was an exceptional, bright, and loved brother, father, and friend. He touched the lives of so many people with his kindness and spirit, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. Brandon leaves behind a bright 7-year-old son who dreams of becoming a scientist when he grows up.
