Whether he was encouraging his sons, making sure his daughter got time on the swings before a Dodgers game, surprising his wife with treats from restaurants and bakeries after a long TDY so she could feature them on her vlog, or driving hours so his wife could spend time with her grandmother, he always put his family first.

Being a Weapons Systems Officer was his dream job, and he considered himself fortunate to spend each day doing what he loved. Before this flight, he told Brianna that it was a once-in-a-lifetime flight. He was proud to serve and deeply committed to the test flight entrusted to him.

<div>Gabe believed strongly in the importance of education and planning for his family's future. He had already established a college fund for his daughter, who just turned three years old. He was known for his positive spirit, warm smile, and ability to lift up those around him. Even on difficult days, he carried himself with kindness, humility, and optimism. He was also a proud and loyal Dodgers fan, and anyone who knew him can attest to the impact he made on the lives of others.

Honoring Gabe’s Legacy for His Children’s Future

<div>Eight dedicated personnel went to work on June 15th at Edwards Air Force Base to perform a routine test on a radar modernization project they were working on for the B-52 Bomber. Soon after take-off, a tragic accident happened that claimed the lives of all eight onboard. None of them ever returned home to their families; among them was Christopher " Hustler" Rischar. Christopher was a respected and talented Test Director and Weapon Systems Integration Engineer who worked at Edwards for about 10 years. He was a 3rd generation employee on base, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and sharing their love of aircraft. Christopher married the love of his life in 2009. He and his wife Rebecca have two amazing children. His parents are both natives of the Antelope Valley that have worked and served others here, all of their lives. Sometimes when a tragedy happens, we say to ourselves "I wish I could do something to help". If you want to help a family that has just lost their husband, father and the rock of their family your donation would be appreciated and used wisely to support Christopher's family.  Christopher was a contractor, and his family will not be receiving the same benefits that a government employee would receive. These funds would mean a lot to his family facing an uncertain future without him.

This makes it difficult for him to walk, play, and fully participate in school activities.

The pain can be overwhelming, and on particularly rough days, he struggles to even get out of bed. Without proper medication, exercise and treatment, the disease can destroy his joints permanently.

<div>In early July, John suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke in addition to a number of other medical problems. The stroke left him temporarily unable to walk or have full use of his right hand and arm. He was later diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism.

<div>Since his long stay in the hospital, he is now in a rehabilitation center (undergoing Speech, Physical, and Occupational therapies) and progressing each day. However, he still has an extremely long road ahead of him towards recovery.

<div>In previous years, John has experienced other bouts of medical issues, leaving him unable to work for long periods of time. However, this time he will not be able to return to his beloved career with the NYC Parks Department.

The bond this family shares is beyond words and we thank you all so much for supporting them during this challenging time. All funds will go directly to the Pratt family to offset medical expenses not covered by the military, and accommodations while the family is providing support to Jacob, and other necessary support services. Although the military has provided hotel accommodations for Jacob’s family, his family is now exploring short-term rental accommodations in order to provide the long-term support needed for Jacob while in Texas. The family is from upstate New York and traveled to Texas to be with Jacob.

<div>Donovan was a military child living with his US Navy family in the Fort Hunt community during his childhood. His mother, Amy, was my co-worker here in Alexandria and Donovan, with his older sister Madison, were my pet sitters when they were younger. Donovan attended Belleview Elementary, Carl Sandburg Middle School and West Potomac High School. He enlisted in the USMC in 2019 and was recently promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal on Jan 1 of this year. He was trained as a helicopter crew chief.

Funeral plans are still being finalized but will take place in Washington State. <div>On Friday, January 26th. Charlie and three of his friends were involved in a very serious car accident. They lost control of the car due to hazardous weather &amp; severe fog, hitting directly into a tree. Charlie was the is the front passenger seat which took the main impact of the tree.

<div>The driver <strong>(not charlie)</strong> was DOA but <strong>was revived</strong> after CPR attempts and is still in critical care, the 2 boys in the backseats were very lucky with some minor injuries.

<div>Charlies injures are a traumatic brain injury of the right side, skull fractures, brain bleed, along with a fractured leg. He is currently, still recovering from a dirt bike injury from 6 months ago that had caused skull fractures to the left side of his head and caused brain bleeding.

<div>On August 5,2023, a family tragically lost a son, grandson, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Nicholas Chernis was a 28 year old former marine who served for 8 years. During a deployment his fellow Marine/friend and him were hit by an explosive. Sadly, his friend passed, and Nicholas suffered a traumatic brain injury, and required knee surgery in Germany. He was suffering from PTSD along with the TBI post injury related symptoms which can last a lifetime. If this past pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that mental health is a far too common struggle among individuals and is not properly diagnosed or treated. As a marine who served our country, he deserved the highest level of care for everything he endured during his deployments. Unfortunately, most of us know that veterans don’t get the proper treatment they need. Nicholas left behind his 5 year old daughter Carly, and his 2 year old son Cooper with whom he shares with his wife, Danielle Chernis. Danielle recently found out that she and Nick are expecting another baby. Nick was so thrilled knowing that this would be the first birth of his child that he would physically be able to attend. Please donate to help Danielle fund the proper goodbye service this marine deserves. <div>My Name is Aaron and my parents home in Cape Coral spent the majority of 5 hours in Hurricane Ian’s south eye wall. The home got a foot of water and lots of wind damage. Due to the flooding in the home and not enough flood insurance, the contents of the home are not going to be covered in flood insurance, and they lost pretty much everything in the home (furniture, appliances, clothing).  We are trying to raise some money to help replace some of what was lost in the home that is not covered by insurance. They don’t have a couch, beds, washing machine, stove, and most their clothing so any funds will be used to replace things of that nature. Thanks for any help and God Bless.

<div>Isaac loves his family, girlfriend, and friends more than anything in the world. He worked so hard to be able to help our family back in the Philippines. Everyone who’s had the chance to meet knew he is a loving son, brother, boyfriend. He is always willing to help anyone and however he could, loves to make people laugh and always has a good time. We have plans we have dreams and to know we won’t be able to accomplish them together hurt me he was just 27 years old. My mother is lost of words and is hurting for losing her son she calls me and says tell me it’s a nightmare I know this is a nightmare with all the pain in my heart I have to tell her no mom it’s not a nightmare he is truly gone. My heart aches to know I will never be able to hear his voice his laugh to be able to hug him again and again. I wish I had the opportunity to talk to him one more time and to hold him as tight as possible.

<p>In light of the tragic passing of Jonathan "L.J." Clement, a Go Fund Me  page has been created in his honor. With a larger than life personality, he was always brightening everyone's day with his positive attitude and quick witted comedy. In memory of Jon, we would like to share one of his passions with you. Jon had a deep appreciation for the sport of archery. He recently began sharing this passion with others by volunteering his time teaching and mentoring children of fallen service members. Through the Special Liberty Project's Gold Star Corps Mentoring Program, Jon served as a mentor to a child who lost his Military father. Jon made an incredibly positive impact on a very special Gold Star Kid. The funds raised in Jon's honor will provide outdoor, educational adventures and mentoring opportunities for families of fallen military heroes. Together, we honor and serve our nations Gold Star Families in remembrance of Jonathan "L.J." Clement.<br /><br />

<div>My name is Mark Hammock, and I am one of Danny Randolph's 1st cousins. Danny and I were extremely close, and I only found it fitting to create a fund to help fund his 4 children in going to college, or whatever their aspirations might be after graduating high school. I plan to use this fund to disperse funds 25% equally among his 4 children, dispersing to the older two (Jackson 19 and Laine 18) access to their portions immediately, and the younger two (Kori 7 and Skylar 4) access to their funds on their 18th birthday. I would put the funds into a CD and tie it into a trust, only distributing funds to the children, and only at the age of 18 or graduation, whichever comes first.

We knew education was extremely important to Danny so I find it a fitting memorial to help fund a portion of the education for his children.
