Rebecca Tobias

My name is Rebecca, and I am a domestic violence survivor working hard to rebuild a safe and stable life for myself and the child placed in my care by the courts and foster agency. Living with Huntington's Disease, an incurable brain disorder, means I have to travel out of town for regular appointments at UC Davis Neurology and participate in research to help others facing the same diagnosis. Recently, my car was impounded because I couldn't keep up with the registration fees. I had to use the money I had set aside to make sure my child and I were safe from harm. I’ve managed to raise some funds already, but I still need help to cover the remaining impound fees so I can get my car back. This car is essential for getting my child to school, court dates, visits, and doctor appointments. It’s also our lifeline if we ever need to leave quickly to stay safe from my former partner. Having reliable transportation is critical for our safety, health, and stability. I am deeply grateful for any support—whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing our story with others.
