<div><em>Mohammed and Ahmed at the beach in happier times.</em>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My name is Laura Beckman, and I'm a Jewish American living in NYC. I have been speaking to Mohammed Mahdi and his family on video calls and WhatsApp for 1.5 years now, and he recently introduced me to his close friend Ahmed Al-Najjar, who needs our help. Here's Ahmed's story:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>"A dream we built with tears… destroyed by war in a moment"</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My name is Ahmed Al-Najjar, a Palestinian from the Gaza Strip. I am 21 years old and the youngest of my eight siblings. The war began when I was 19, before I could finish my first year at university, where I was studying accounting. I was forced to leave my studies, not because I lost passion, but because life pushed me to stand by my family before I could fulfill my dream.

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img class="text-editor_textEditorImage__43_GE" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/93740645_1755468687826562_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Since childhood, I have worked in tough jobs — carrying loads beyond my age in markets, toiling in fields, and helping in workshops. I would return from work to school exhausted, yet I held on to hope for a better future for myself and my family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img class="text-editor_textEditorImage__43_GE" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/93740645_1755469950537355_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Life in war is unbearably harsh…</strong>

</div>

<div>These are days where fear mixes with hunger, where the sounds of bombing merge with children’s cries, and where there is no space for rest or safety. Every morning we wake up with the same question: Will we live until the end of the day?

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Electricity is cut most of the time, water is scarce, and the markets are empty except for high prices. Even sleep has become a luxury, as the bombing never allows our eyes to close, and the smell of smoke and gunpowder fills our breath day and night.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every day we hear news of neighbors or friends who have lost their homes or loved ones, and we feel that our turn may come at any moment. The children in our family ask us: "When will the war end?"… and we have no answer.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We all live together in a small two-story house that barely fits our bodies, let alone our dreams. Six of my siblings are married with children, and the house is divided among us the way life’s breath is divided in hardship. As for me, I sleep in the guest room—not because it’s the nicest, but because it’s the only space left for me.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My father was a baker who spent his life between the heat of ovens until his back bent and the years wore him down. My mother has always been our last wall of defense against need—patient, complaining only to God.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>When my father stopped working, we took up the responsibility. We worked in fields, workshops, and markets… We toiled without complaint, just to live with dignity, without stretching out our hands to anyone. After years of effort, we saved enough to start a small project: a chicken farm. We did not ask for wealth—only dreamed of a decent life.

</div><img class="text-editor_textEditorImage__43_GE" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/93740645_175547011830446_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>But the dream was never born…</strong>

</div>

<div>In a moment, a single missile fell and erased everything: the farm, the money, the sweat, the hope… We didn’t sell a single batch, and we didn’t celebrate a single day. We just returned to our crowded home… and back to zero.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>And despite everything, I still dream of leaving Gaza to safety, where I can start my life anew, complete my education, and give my family a future without fear. But I have no way to make that happen, and the borders are closed to those without money.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Today, we are eight siblings, our children, our wives, our mother, and our father… all living on top of each other in a house that can’t even contain silence. We are not asking for luxury—we only want a chance to stand on our feet again.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>️<strong> Your donation today is only for a decent life, to give us back the chance to live with dignity, and to grant our children a future without fear.</strong>

</div>

<div> Contribute whatever you can—perhaps with your support, a new beginning can be written for us.

</div>

</div>
<div>On the morning of August 11, a family’s life changed unexpectedly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My hardworking father was told he would be meeting with a new supervision officer and enrolling in digital check-ins. He was assured the appointment would be quick and that he did not need to bring anything with him. Trusting those instructions, he went to the immigration center expecting to go to work and return home at the end of the day - to his wife, daughter and two dogs.
</div>
<div>Instead, <strong>he was detained by ICE after he arrived at the court.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He has called the United States home since <strong>2001 and has been legally authorized to live and work in the United States since 2011</strong>. For nearly 25 years, he has worked hard to provide for his family, paid taxes, and helped &amp; served those around him whenever he could.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He is a loving father, husband, and the sole provider for his family. He also suffers from Type 2 Diabetes, which requires daily insulin injections and careful management. His diet must be closely monitored, and regular walking is a very important part of managing his condition , preventing it from getting worse.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His family is now doing everything they can to secure legal representation and fight to bring him home . <strong>Funds raised will go toward legal fees, potential bond expenses, and essential support for his family while he remains detained.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Life doesn't always keep us on top. There are seasons when we are blessed and seasons when we face difficulties- but through it all, God remains sovereign. </strong>For years, he has quietly helped those in need, now, he is the one who needs help<strong>.</strong>
</div>
<div>If you are able, please consider donating or sharing his story. Even just a little can go a long way. Every contribution, share, and message of support brings his family hope during this incredibly difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Please help us bring a father, husband, and valued member of the community home to the people who love and depend on him.</strong>

Bring a Hardworking Father Home from ICE Detention Facility

<div>
 Early morning on Friday, September 4th in North Hollywood, Sergio was accosted by several ICE agents while moving his car. His younger sister, watching from the window, went outside to confront the agents and repeatedly asked for a warrant that they did not produce. Fearing an agent that was increasingly aggressive and threatening to break the car window, Sergio got out of his car and was subsequently kidnapped by the agents. His sister was thankfully able to grab him shoes, socks, and a sweater before they tearfully hugged goodbye.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Sergio has since been transferred to the Adelanto concentration camp where there have been complaints and reports from detainees of poor drinking water, food, sanitation, and medical neglect.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 After his father’s passing, Sergio became the primary supporter and caretaker of his family. Before his kidnapping, Sergio was the main financial supporter of his family taking care of expenses such as rent, utilities, auto payments, and other basic needs. All funds raised from this GoFundMe will go directly to Sergio’s sister who is working and attending college. Your donations will help compensate for the family’s loss of income as well as secure an immigration lawyer to fight Sergio’s case.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Sergio’s close family members describe him as quiet with a kind heart that helps others whenever he can. He is also an extremely hard worker that would work 7 days a week if he could. Sergio was the main support for his younger sister who says he is reserved, protective, and affectionate. He is someone you look up to and loved taking care of his family.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our goal is to raise $5 ,000 to help support and reunite this family. They are in urgent need or donations in order to pay October rent and not risk housing insecurity! Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference❤️ If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support as this family works toward being together again.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Si en este momento no puedes donar, te pedimos que por favor consideres compartir esta campaña con tus familiares, amigos y redes sociales. Compartirla también es una manera muy importante de ayudar.
</div>
<div>
 Gracias de todo corazón por su bondad, generosidad y apoyo. Significa muchísimo para Sergio y su familia mientras luchan por volver a estar juntos.

Urgent Appeal Keep Noho Family Housed after ICE Kidnapping

<div>I am currently seven months pregnant, and yesterday my husband was picked up by ICE as he was on his way to work. This has turned my world upside down. He was our only source of income, and now I am left to care for our two boys, ages three and twelve, while preparing for the arrival of our baby boy. We had just started buying things for the baby, but we still need essentials like a stroller, car seat, and basic items. On top of that, I need help with rent, groceries, and lawyer fees to support my husband and keep our family together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For GoFundMe's transparency rules: The money raised is put straight into my mother-in-law's bank account since I don't have my own bank account; after that, she withdraws and gives it to me for household expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don’t have any other family nearby, and I don’t work, so this situation is affecting us deeply. Every day feels overwhelming, but I am determined to do everything I can for my children and my husband. Your support would mean the world to us, whether it’s helping with baby items, rent, groceries, or legal fees. I am grateful for any help you can offer, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us during this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able to help, please know that your kindness will make a real difference for our family. Thank you so much for your support.

Support Abedalrahman's Father & Family in Crisis

<div><strong>My name is David, and I am Samuel’s older brother. I am updating this GoFundMe because our family continues to grieve the loss of my little brother while also fighting to keep our mom, Minerva, here with us.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Samuel was only 21 years old. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was funny, smart, grateful for the smallest things, and always knew how to make us smile. Losing him has been one of the most painful experiences our family has ever gone through.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>When Samuel passed away, our mom was being held at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center. She had been detained by ICE after being racially profiled and stopped while walking in San Bernardino. She spent about two months in immigration detention, separated from our family.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Samuel and our mom were extremely close, and her absence affected him deeply. Losing him while she was still detained made an already devastating situation even harder for our family. We were grieving Samuel while also fighting to bring our mom home.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Thankfully, our mom has since been released and is back home with us. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who prayed, donated, shared our story, and supported our family throughout that fight.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>But our journey is not over.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We are still carrying debt from Samuel’s funeral and burial expenses, and we now have immigration legal expenses as our mom fights to remain in the United States. After everything our family has been through, we are also trying to get back on our feet and begin healing together.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We are asking for support to help cover:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>• Samuel’s remaining funeral and burial expenses</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>• Our mom’s immigration legal expenses</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>• Basic family needs as we work toward stability again</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this GoFundMe and Samuel’s story can help more than you know.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Thank you to everyone who has stood beside us through these incredibly difficult months. We will continue to honor Samuel, keep his memory alive, and share his story.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We love and miss you every day, Samuel. You will always be a part of our family and our story.</strong>

<div><strong>Please</strong> <strong>Help</strong> <strong>Me</strong> <strong>Bring</strong> <strong>My</strong> <strong>Partner</strong> <strong>Home</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong><em>On December 6, 2025, everything changed.</em></strong>
</div>
<div><strong><em>After a car accident, my partner was taken into custody and is now detained thousands of miles away.</em></strong>
</div>
<div><strong><em>I’m doing everything I can to bring him home—but I can’t do this alone.</em></strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What started as a traumatic accident quickly became an overwhelming legal and financial crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, I am carrying this on my own. I am paying for legal expenses, everyday bills, and caring for his pets while trying to keep a roof over my head. I’ve already downsized my living situation and sold nearly everything non-essential just to stay afloat.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But it’s still not enough.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The costs keep building—legal fees, basic living expenses, and even the cost just to speak to him. Every phone call and message is charged, but it’s the only way I can make sure he’s okay and remind him he hasn’t been forgotten.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He is alone, far from everyone who loves him. I was only able to visit him once briefly, and leaving him there was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am at the point where I truly need help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donation will go directly toward:
</div>
<div>	•	Legal fees to fight his case
</div>
<div>	•	Basic living expenses while I manage everything alone
</div>
<div>	•	Care for his pets
</div>
<div>	•	Communication costs so we can stay connected
</div>
<div>	•	Travel to see him so he isn’t completely alone
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to give, even a small amount makes a real difference right now. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing—this only works if people see it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I wouldn’t be asking if I had any other option left.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give. It truly means everything to me—and to him.

Wilber Is My Home—Help Bring Him Back

<div>Douglas vasquez… On the afternoon of November 4th, my friend called me in tears. Her husband had just been arrested by ICE while he was eating lunch at work. The shock and heartbreak were overwhelming, not only for her but for everyone who cares about them. Her husband is the only family she has in this country, and his sudden detention has left her and their family in a desperate situation. She has been unable to find work and has resorted to selling her personal belongings just to afford food. The videos of his arrest were devastating to watch—people around him tried to defend him and pleaded with the officers to let him go, but their voices went unheard. The area where he was working isn’t open to the public, and it was a selfish act by someone who called ICE that led to his arrest.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Now, my friend is facing this crisis alone, struggling to keep her family together and provide for their basic needs. The funds raised here will go directly toward paying the bail that ICE is requesting, so her husband can return home and support his family. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference in their lives and help them through this incredibly difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Thank you so much for helping my friend and her husband. God will bless you—every penny will help. Your support means the world to them and gives hope when it’s needed most.

 My mother, Brooke Weeks, <strong>was born with cerebral palsy, and it is no one’s fault that she was born this way.</strong> So no one should take blame.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>She can’t afford good health insurance because of what’s going on in this country. Neither can she get a job, and the money she gets from the government is not enough to even live on the streets. SNAP believes she makes too much to have benefits.</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 She learned that she has to have all of her teeth taken out. Insurance covers that, but not enough to cover dentures. But what she really deserves is some brand new teeth and a doctor who can provide that, but they believe she should pay her whole salary for them.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I would really like y’all’s help to get her to afford some teeth. No one has to donate more or provide their whole paycheck, but a lot goes a long way. Anything helps.

Help My Mother get the teeth she deserves

<div>Many of you will already know Dave, and many of you will know just how much he has given to the people around him over the years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He has helped, inspired and supported so many people and now he needs our help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dave is currently under palliative care, but in true Dave fashion, he is fighting back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re raising money to help fund the treatment, care, equipment, rehabilitation and wider support Dave needs, while also helping to ease some of the pressure on him and his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re launching this fundraiser now for anyone who would like to support Dave straight away.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Then, over the Early May bank holiday weekend (2nd-4th), we’ll be asking people to get involved in 'Miles for Dave' by walking, running, cycling, rowing, or covering some miles in any way that works for you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re also looking at some in person events, with more details to follow.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>More than anything, we want to show the big man just how much he means to us all by doing what he loves best whilst he can't - getting outside and moving.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But you don't need to take part in the challenge to help. You can also simply donate to the page and support Dave directly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn’t about performance. It’s about showing up for Dave in whatever way you can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So whether you donate, get involved in Miles for Dave, or do both, thank you. Every act of support matters and every contribution will help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are taking part, we’d love you to share what you’re doing on social media using #MilesForDave so we can all follow along and feel part of it together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dave has helped so many people over the years. Now it’s our turn to help this great man.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Pick your miles. Pick your way. Or simply give what you can. Do it for Dave.

<div>In 2024, while I was in labor, I experienced something no woman should ever go through. I was subjected to a court-ordered C-section under circumstances that changed my life. I was taken to court while in labor, denied an attorney, and spent over 3 hours in that hearing fighting for my life as they pushed to give me a c section against my will.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since sharing my <a href="https://www.propublica.org/article/florida-court-ordered-c-sections" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">story</a>, over 30,000 people have signed my petition, and millions have followed this journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So many of you have asked: “How can I help?”
</div>
<div><em>This is how.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Where We Are Now</strong>
</div>
<div>Your generous support has helped me stay stable and begin this process. But we are now entering a critical phase.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are important legal deadlines ahead, and in the coming months, significant work needs to be done to move this case forward.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What Your Support Makes Possible</strong>
</div>
<div>Your donations help cover:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Legal and case preparation costs
</li>
<li>Expert consultations
</li>
<li>Documentation and evidence gathering
</li>
<li>Basic living expenses for me and my children during this time
</li>
</ul>
<div>This process requires time, focus, and resources... and your support makes that possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why This Matters</strong>
</div>
<div>This is about more than just my story. <strong>It’s about making sure that no one else has to face something like this without support, resources, or a voice.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Getting to the Goal</strong>
</div>
<div>If just a small portion of the people who have followed and supported this journey gave even $20, we could reach this goal quickly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>
</div>
<ul>
<li>Donate whatever you can
</li>
<li>Share this campaign
</li>
<li>Continue to stand with me

Help Me Fight for Justice After a Court-Ordered C-Section

<div>Allison Hamilton is a beloved member of our community. Earlier this year, she received the life-changing diagnosis of breast cancer and has since faced it with incredible courage. After her first surgery in October, she learned that the cancer was still present. She had a second surgery this week that will require significantly more recovery time. Despite her own struggles, Allison continues to put others first. If you know Allison, you know how much she cares. She continuously shows up for us, and now it's our turn to show up for her.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Chemotherapy and surgery have taken a significant physical and emotional toll, making it difficult for Allison to care for and homeschool her children. On top of her health challenges, Allison and her family are also facing a no-fault eviction, adding even more stress and uncertainty to an already overwhelming situation. Her family now needs supplemental support for childcare, including help with homeschooling, extracurricular activities, moving expenses, and care during frequent medical appointments. These appointments will soon include daily trips across town for radiation. As medical costs continue to rise, Allison will also need healing therapies not covered by insurance, along with meal delivery to help ease the daily burden on her family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>By sharing or contributing to this fundraiser, you help lift the weight of daily responsibilities—covering medical expenses, childcare, essential family needs, and now moving expenses in a rental market that has outpaced their income—so Allison can rest, recover, and get back to being an active part of her family and community, which means everything to her. Every donation, no matter the size, truly makes a meaningful difference.

<div>My name is Mihir, and in 2024-2025, I was a victim of rape, physical abuse, sexual assault, and kidnapping. As a result of the abuse, my lumbar spine, my sacrum, and my SI joint were damaged, making it so I need to use a wheelchair. My abuser initially offered to pay the medical bills, and they did for a bit. After covering $1009, they stopped. I confronted them, they committed again, and even wrote out a contract. A month later, they stopped again. This will go towards paying for the medical treatment necessary to treat my spinal damage and the pain it causes, as well as covering a new wheelchair that actually suits my needs and allows me to use it to the frequency I need it without hurting me. Anything that exceeds the goal or ends up not being necessary due to unforeseen circumstances (for example if my rapist suddenly does cover the bills either by choice or by court order, if insurance retroactively covers something, or if I’m suddenly able to afford it by myself) all extra proceeds will go towards a charity (tbd) that supports fellow survivors. Ideally it will be for helping lgbtq+ survivors or survivors in need of getting medical assistance to treat damage left from their abuse

<div>On March 24th, 2026, everything changed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While on vacation with his family in Pensacola, Florida, our brother and friend Nick Parsons suffered a devastating brain stem stroke—one of the most serious and life-altering types of strokes a person can endure.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just days later, on April 3rd, his condition took a sudden turn for the worse as the stroke began to expand. Nick was urgently airlifted to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, a Level 1 trauma and neurological center, where doctors were able to stabilize his condition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since that day, Nick has been fighting for his life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He has now spent almost four weeks in the hospital, including 14 days in the Neuro ICU.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nick is still here. And that matters more than anything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Through this unimaginable situation, we have witnessed God’s hand at work—protecting Nick’s life, answering prayers, and giving us hope in moments that felt hopeless.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nick is awake.
</div>
<div>He can hear you.
</div>
<div>He understands everything.
</div>
<div>He feels every emotion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But right now, he cannot speak.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He has limited movement on the right side of his body, and very little—if any—control on his left. Imagine being fully aware, but unable to communicate your thoughts, your needs, or your feelings beyond small gestures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And yet… Nick is fighting.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There is hope.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nick has several critical factors working in his favor:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He is young and healthy
</div>
<div>The stroke affected only one side of his brain stem
</div>
<div>His mind is sharp and fully aware
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And if you know Nick, you know this above all else:
</div>
<div>He is a worker. A fighter. A man of determination. Some might even call him stubborn
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He is ready for the work of recovery. He wants his “to-do list.” He’s prepared to give everything he has to get his life back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A door has opened—but it comes at a cost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Through incredible provision, Nick has been accepted into Shepherd Center in Atlanta —one of the top rehabilitation hospitals in the country, specializing in complex neurological and brain stem stroke recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is exactly where Nick needs to be.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But the cost is overwhelming.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Estimated $200,000 for an 8-week rehabilitation program
</div>
<div>Over $30,000 for the emergency transports alone
</div>
<div>Multiple hospital stays, including ICU and step-down care
</div>
<div>Ongoing therapy, medical care, and long-term recovery needs ahead
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nick is self-employed, and the family’s insurance coverage is inadequate for a catastrophic event like this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was the primary provider for his family—and right now, everything is uncertain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is where we come together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support will directly help:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Get Nick the life-changing rehabilitation care he urgently needs
</div>
<div>Provide financial stability for his family during this time
</div>
<div>Cover ongoing medical expenses as he continues his recovery journey
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over 400 people have already stepped in—and it’s been incredible to witness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve given, thank you. Truly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to give, any amount makes a difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And if giving isn’t possible right now, there are still powerful ways to help:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Share this story
</div>
<div>Rally your community, church, or workplace
</div>
<div>Host fundraisers—some have already done “Round Up for Nick” campaigns or even lemonade stands to contribute
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every act of support matters more than you know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are praying boldly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For healing.
</div>
<div>For provision.
</div>
<div>For strength.
</div>
<div>For a miracle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And we believe Nick’s story is far from over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for standing with him—and with his family—in this fight.
</div>

<div><strong>Support Survivors of Religious Abuse as They Start Over</strong>

</div>

<div>When someone escapes an abusive religious environment, the hardest part isn't always getting out. Sometimes, it's what comes after: the process of starting a new life on the other side.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Survivors of spiritual abuse in high-control religious communities often leave with almost nothing. Many were discouraged from pursuing education or building careers outside the church. Some had their finances controlled by a spouse or a church leader for years. Others were homeschooled under ideologically-driven curricula that left them without the credentials they need to enter the workforce. Important documents -- birth certificates, Social Security cards, IDs -- are sometimes withheld (or lost) in the chaos of leaving.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Then, after the massive hurdle they've already gotten over, they have to build an entire life from scratch.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Right now, several survivors in our community are doing exactly that, and they need help with the basics. We're talking about things a lot of folks take for granted: a car to get to work, first month's rent, groceries while they job-search, professional clothes for interviews, gas money, and the like.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>One of these survivors writes:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>"One of my biggest needs is reliable transportation. I'm hoping to buy a car from Facebook Marketplace so I can begin building a new life. Having a car will give a stable and reliable form of transportation to get to and from work, and travel when needed. Any support would mean the world to me."

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>That's what starting over sounds like.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Who We Are</strong>

</div>

<div>Deconstruction Doulas is a peer-support organization for survivors of spiritual abuse in high-control religious environments. We were founded by survivors, we're run by survivors, and we exist to walk alongside people as they rebuild. We've helped more than 200 individuals and families through direct support -- everything from safety planning and emergency exits to connecting survivors with trauma-informed therapists, legal aid, and practical resources for daily life.

</div>

<div>We operate on small individual donations. We have no institutional backers. And as a matter of policy, we never turn someone away because they can't pay.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Where Your Money Goes</strong>

</div>

<div>Every dollar raised in this campaign goes directly to survivors in active need. That means transportation, housing deposits, essential documents, food, and other immediate costs of starting over. This isn't overhead -- it's a direct lifeline to people who are rebuilding from zero.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Why They Can't "Just figure it out"</strong>

</div>

<div>People sometimes ask why survivors of religious abuse need outside help. The answer is simple: these communities are designed to make leaving as costly as possible. When your entire social network, your employment, your housing, and your family relationships all run through the same institution, walking away means losing everything at once. Many survivors leave with no work history, no professional network, and fractured family relationships. Sometimes, they even leave with damaged credit because of fraud perpetrated by their own families. They aren't starting from zero -- they're starting from <em>below</em> zero.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Your gift -- of any size -- helps close that gap.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>How to Help</strong>

</div>

<div>Give what you can. Share this page. And if you know someone who might be in one of these situations, let them know that help exists.

Help Survivors Start Fresh After Religious Abuse

<div>Chris and Ashlyn lost their home and most of their personal belongings two nights ago in the Eaton fire. They are in a state of shock, trying to make sense of a material and psychic loss of devastating proportions while taking care of their three girls (ages 11, 9 and 8) and navigating the byzantine world of insurance claims, filings, and payouts. They've been reluctant to ask for money, but some of us convinced them that they may need an influx of cash to help them over the coming days and weeks and months as they try to put their lives back together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After receiving the mandatory evacuation notice in the early evening of Tuesday, January 7, Ashlyn took the girls to her mom's house in Shadow Hills. Chris stayed behind at their home in Altadena, packing some important items and getting other things in order. He ended up staying until 2:40 a.m., watching the fire in the distance, convinced that it would never reach them. He drove to his mother-in-law's house to join Ashlyn and his children and to get some sleep.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At 6:40 in the morning, he was jolted awake by the alarm alerts on his phone. As he tells it, "I didn't know if the house had been broken into, but I raced back home from Shadow Hills. The alert was for the guest house sliding door and front door. When the alert for the main house came through, I knew we were in flames. The smoke made it look like I was driving into a war zone. When I exited the freeway, it was pure chaos. There were fires all around and you couldn't see through the smoke, but people were still driving up the hill because there were no emergency vehicles anywhere. I got a few blocks from my house but it was as far as I could go. There were flames and smoke all around me. It was awful."
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Chris and Ashlyn have lived in their beautiful home in the beautiful foothills of Altadena for 13 years. This is the only home their three children have ever known. And now it's gone. Ashlyn's employer has generously put them up in an apartment in Burbank, but this is only a temporary dwelling. They need our financial support to get back on their feet. Please consider donating.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They will use this money to rent a house, purchase clothing and other necessities for themselves and the girls, and for the various sundry expenses that will inevitably arise in the difficult and unpredictable time ahead.
</div>

Rebuilding Fund for Chris and Ashlyn Mangandi

<div>The Eaton Fire devastatingly took the home of the Sanchez family, along with so many other families in Altadena. As we all try to process this great loss to so many across Los Angeles, we do what we can to support those who need it the most.
</div>
<div>It's impossible to know what this type of loss feels like unless you've been through it. A scenario we all hope never to find ourselves in. But, whether we have experienced losing our home or not, our hearts compel us to help in anyway we can to alleviate some of the stress and financial burden that come along with this kind of loss.
</div>
<div>We know that there is an outpouring to so many right now, and we are all spread thin in our donating, but Joe, Megan, Clementine, and Coco really could use your help right now.
</div>
<div>It's already been a challenging year with Megan's health issue, and losing their home in the fire is needless to say, the very last thing they can handle alone right now.
</div>
<div>Please consider a donation of any amount to help this kind hearted family get on their feet.
</div>
<div>We thank you with all our hearts!

Support the Sanchez family after the Eaton Fire

<div>Dear Friends of Kim Grant &amp; Justin Smith:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Sarah Snider. On the morning of January 8th, I received the devastating news that two of my most favourite people lost their beautiful Altadena home in the Eaton Canyon Fire. I'm one of Kim's many friends from Chicago who have been trying to get help for Kim and Justin since we first heard they had to evacuate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It's stunning how fast everything can be taken from a person in a natural disaster. I have an insurance background and reached out to a contact in the industry, who, flat out said, when a fire destroys a home, insurance is never enough to cover all the expenses. My hope is this fundraiser will exceed our goal and they will have access to funds quickly to cover the costs of relocating and purchasing whatever necessities they need.
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85497599_1736441579437975_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kim has always had a fearless spirit and generous heart, a perfect combination for making things happen. When I first visited her in California, I was introduced to her wonderful Grand OLE Echo community. She told me she started the GOE in order to meet people, so helping to launch the LA Americana scene was just a by-product of her desire for connection. Among the people she met was Justin Smith, who was playing drums with Old Californio. Justin is the perfect match for Kim. When these two aren't putting on a show or hosting a party for their friends, they seem to be rescuing dogs. Their latest, Gordie, evacuated with them, thank goodness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you know these two, you know I have hardly touched upon all they do for others. Musicians found a champion in Kim as a publicist and Justin has delighted us as one of the most talented drummers playing in and touring with numerous bands.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are only as strong as our community. Right now, Kim and Justin need our strength and support. Please donate what you can to help our wonderful friends get through this unimaginably difficult time while they find a new home and rebuild their lives. Funds will go directly to Kim and Justin.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you in advance for your generosity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sincerely,
</div>

Kim Grant & Justin Smith Eaton Canyon Fire Fundraiser

<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As many of you know, the Eaton Fire has completely destroyed my home, my community, and the place I grew up in. My family and I, like so many others, are devastated. <strong>And my family is left without a place to go and face an uncertain future.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully, they escaped with what truly matters—each other—but everything else was lost in the fire. This will be a long journey, not just for my family but for the entire community of Altadena as we work to rebuild.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Any donations will go to aiding my family during this difficult period.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />

Help the Ricards Family Recover After the Eaton Fire

</div>
<div>Help Mahmoud’s Family Survive After 14 Displacements
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Megan, and I’m organising this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Mahmoud, a 22-year-old from Gaza City. He and his family have been displaced <strong>fourteen times</strong>. Their home in Shujaiya was <strong>destroyed</strong> in an airstrike, along with the family business. Despite everything they’ve lost, they’ve returned to Gaza City to rebuild—living now in a tent on the rubble of what was once their home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mahmoud lives with his mother, who has nerve damage from an airstrike, his two sisters, four brothers, and his young nieces and nephews. It’s a large family, and their situation is desperate. They often go without enough food. Prices are rising daily—a single sack of flour now costs around <strong>$600 USD</strong>—and only 1 in 10 people in Gaza have access to clean water.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mahmoud is doing everything he can to help others, even while struggling himself. He volunteers with Luna Water Project, delivering clean water to other displaced families in Gaza. I’m constantly inspired by his resilience and generosity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He told me recently:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“I am looking for food for my family, but it is very difficult to get. There is some food—but we can’t buy it.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mahmoud never complains. But the truth is, his family is facing hunger, exhaustion, and the impossible task of surviving the aftermath of more than a year of war, loss, and displacement.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What We’re Raising Funds For:

Help Mahmouds Family in Gaza

<div>Pictured above (clockwise):Mohammed, Saeb, Naya, Selen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi,
</div>
<div>I’m Maaria from Manchester,UK. For nearly 5 months I’ve been raising funds locally to support the families of the children pictured above. With the situation in Gaza ongoing and getting worse,the funds are just not enough. I’m now asking for help from you so these families can buy basic essentials necessary for survival- food,clean water,hygiene products,formula milk and nappies- and to help them raise some funds to pay for exit fees to Egypt,should they wish.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Abdal Karim and Lana</strong> have a two month old baby girl called Selen.
</div>
<div><strong>Ahmed and Niveen</strong> have a 6 year old daughter, Naya, who suffers with Spina Bifida.
</div>
<div><strong>Muhammad Al Masri,</strong> who is displaced with 30 family members including many children, suffers from Scoliosis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Please support them by donating and sharing with all of your contacts. Sharing can really boost donations. Funds raised will be split between the families and sent to them personally via Western Union, a process that myself and the families have used many times before. </strong>
</div>
<div><strong> </strong>
</div>
<div>The families’ stories are below, in their own words- please take the time to read them.
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your support

<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, dreams can quickly turn into nightmares. Shortly after embarking on this exciting journey, my family's home was destroyed by Israeli bombs. At that moment, my priorities shifted. As their son, I couldn't bear to leave my family behind in the midst of such devastation. So, I made the difficult decision to return to Palestine, leaving behind my academic pursuits.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Back home, I faced the harsh reality of being overqualified for the available job opportunities. Despite my qualifications, I had to start from scratch, taking on menial jobs to support my family. Yet, amidst the struggle, a ray of hope emerged as I met my wife Lana. Our happiness knew no bounds when Lana became pregnant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But joy turned to despair as war engulfed our lives once again. Our newly built home was turned into rubble, and the threat of death belongs to our daily life. In the midst of chaos and destruction, Lana gave birth to our beautiful daughter, Selen. Her arrival amidst the horrors of war felt like a miracle—a beacon of hope in our darkest hour.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Yet, our struggles continue. With our home destroyed, basic necessities like food, water, and electricity became luxuries. Every day we fear for our life. Everyday is a battle for survival, a constant fear of the unknown. The future we once dreamed of now feels like another planet, overshadowed by the harsh reality of this genocide.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But amidst the despair, there is a chance for survival. With your generous support, we can escape the horrors of war and seek refuge in Rafah, Egypt. Your donation could mean the difference between life and death for my beloved family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The most important step for now is to cross the border in Rafah to Egypt. To do so we need 35.000$ for my wife Lana, our baby Selen , myself and my family
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please, help us write a new chapter—one of survival, safety and hope. Your kindness will not be forgotten, and we will be forever grateful for your support in our darkest hours.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation is highly valued and appreciated!

<div>‏I am Niveen Abu Hadrous from the Gaza Strip, 30years old. A mum for beautiful kid called (Nay)’she is now 7 years old’ ,and I’m an ambitious young lady who was work independent to treat her daughter.My husband Ahmed ,36 years old, an educated man has an MA in Arabic language . We live in the Gaza Strip in difficult living conditions,bombing is everywhere ,there is no electricity, water, good food, we lost our jobs .We were displaced from our home to the city of Rafah and at any moment we could die our lives would simply end.
</div>
<div>My lovely daughter Nay has from birth a known case of Spina bifida type 3 ( you can google it) , Nay has troubles in walking that she couldn’t walk long distances so I have to carry her . When we moved and displaced from our house ! We have to carry her walking for more than 4 kilometers to reach a place where we can find any transport helping us !
</div>
<div>She needs a surgery in her backbone called Cord Detethering.
</div>
<div>‏As humans, we have the right to live peacefully, away from genocide . Me as a mum I pray everyday to protect my daughter, I wish if I could do more for her , if I could take her away from this aggressive war. I've endured 30 years of destruction in Gaza. This genocide is not the first time that has occurred.Childhood disappears in the blink of an eye. In Gaza, sleep is uncertain—waking up is not guaranteed, and returning home is a question mark. The fear of losing a family member looms. We wish this genocide were just a nightmare. Please help us leave Gaza and enter Egypt.

<div><strong>Muhammad</strong>:
</div>
<div>Hello friends, I am Muhammad Al-Masry from Gaza, 31 years old.
</div>
<div>I ask you to help me, my family, and our children so that we, a family of 30 people, can live
</div>
<div>My mother suffers from chronic diseases and needs treatment abroad
</div>
<div>I need treatment abroad, and I ask you to look at us with mercy and help us obtain treatment. There is Platinum in my spine. Our house was bombed and currently I cannot move and suffer from severe pain and lack of sleep or movement
</div>
<div>We cannot provide treatment or obtain treatment because the hospitals have been bombed
</div>
<div>We cannot provide food and drink for our children and we do not have money. Save us. Your help helps us save 30 lives of children, youth, and the elderly. We are all asking for a helping hand.
</div>
<div>In our family there are 16 children who need food, drink, treatment, milk, and diapers
</div>
<div>They need clothes
</div>
<div>We need support and care just to be able to survive
</div>
<div>I really cannot express myself. I am unable to explain the situation. It is a tragic situation, a suspicious situation. In fact, we are suffering from calamities and we see death every day with our own eyes. Please help us.
</div>
<div>thank you in advance
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, I am Aseel from Gaza, a recent accounting graduate in my twenties. I was preparing to continue my studies abroad and obtain a master's degree. My graduation ceremony was on the night of October 6th, but on the morning of October 7th, we woke up to destruction, displacement, and killing. I lost my loved ones, we got separated, and my suffering began.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I had a stable life, but the war turned my life upside down. I lost my job, my home, and my source of income. We left our home on October 7th, and since then, we have been forced to move more than nine times. I lost many family members and loved ones, and we can no longer gather together. We suffer from a lack of food, diseases, and constant danger.

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The occupation deprived us of our work, properties, and loved ones. Every new day under the war brings the potential for new losses, and fear dominates us. The situation in Gaza is extremely dangerous and worsening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking for your help to save my life and the lives of my family members (my husband, Maria—my husband's niece, my mother, father, ). We want to escape from Gaza, live in safety and peace, and fulfill our dreams and studies. The Egyptian company charges around $7,000 to $9,000 per person to help us escape.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Asking for your help is the only way to save our lives and future. Every dollar can help save a life, bring hope to a weary heart, and save a young person's future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us escape the danger in Gaza and start our lives again in another country with our loved ones. Help Maria and my husband continue their education. Help me reunite with my husband his family in a warm and safe home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here is how the funds will be spent:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Around $7,000 per person to cross the Rafah border and reach Egypt safely.
</div>
<div>Approximately $6,000 to cover transaction fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction).
</div>
<div>The remaining money will be for housing, food, etc., for a period of time in Egypt
</div>
<div><br />

ASeel's Family Needs Your Help to Rebuild Their Lives

<div>Hello, my name is Diana Abuseedou. I am a Canadian citizen and I am creating this go fund me for my relative,Taleb Iyad Abu Seydo and his family, Palestinians from Gaza. I find myself having to ask for help in a critical and urgent situation for me and my family members. Our family are victims of destruction, death and hunger. We have also had to witness these tragedies to countless families, friends and neighbours.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My family of 9, including my mother, father, and 2 sisters, my young brother, wife, and two daughters, have faced a series of painful challenges. Our home was bombed in October 2023. After the intense shelling in my family’s neighbourhood, they first took refuge in my house to flee after October 7, but the continuous attacks forced us to move to southern Gaza. Since then we have been displaced.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Friday, October 13, 2023, we were forced to flee as we were under attack, leaving everything behind. After that, we were evacuated to multiple locations, including Nuseirat, Deir al-Balah, Zawaida and Al-Mawasi, desperately in search of a safe haven. Unfortunately, the neighbourhood where we live in northern Gaza has become in ruins, under constant bombardment, without allowing anyone to return.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After months of continuous movement and multiple evacuations, we found ourselves divided between southern Gaza and northern Gaza and both areas remain under threat of ongoing bombs and attacks. We have since lost our business in the auto and electrical appliances trade, in northern Gaza and suffered serious damage. This is what fed our families and it’s gone now. We have nothing anymore.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are currently facing the tragedy of no homes, no reliable source of food or water, no medicine, and we live constantly under the threat of fire and shelling. The entire Gaza Strip is unsafe, making access to food and potable water a daily challenge. This not only affects us, but our young children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My family has two young girls, and children under the age of one are particularly at risk due to the lack of children’s basic needs such as formula milk, medicines and supplies. Additionally, my mother needs medication for diseases of the vertebone. However, the destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system has left us without access to basic medical care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As part of our efforts to save ourselves and family from this terrifying situation, we are working to evacuate us to a safer place while at the same time we seek to provide all the requirements of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, the path to security is blocked by financial challenges.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They are demanding that people from Gaza are to pay an average of $7,000 USD per person to let them out of Gaza to Egypt. Flight tickets after that are another $1,300 USD per person, plus expenses required to stay in Cairo, Egypt for a few weeks in order to issue a replacement for lost documents from the embassy and waiting for visa application procedures. The average cost per person is $10,300 USD and a total of $278,000 USD. This is just to get our family out of Gaza, apply for our passports and visas, stay in Egypt during this process, and leave Egypt. Nothing more, nothing less. This is an extreme financial burden which we are not able to pay for due to losing our businesses and jobs since October 2023. We have nothing anymore.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your willingness to listen to my family’s situation is deeply appreciated. The actual situation is more challenging than words can convey, and Palestinian voices often struggle to be heard, making it difficult to raise awareness and mobilise support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At this critical moment, on behalf of my family, I strongly beg the kindness of all empathetic individuals. Your support can be a beacon of hope that guides us from the most dangerous place in the world towards a new and safe life. Our young children don’t deserve this, no one does. All we want is for our family to be safe and fed. That’s it. But we can’t make it to safety and proper food and healthcare alone, we need help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult period. We appreciate any help that we can get.

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Sara. My second year of study at Al-Azhar University, Gaza "Dentists ", but found herself losing the city she’s living in and losing any hope of a better future with it . And after a 12 years of intensive study, general secondary school 96.1, and two years of study at university , the war had another idea, We were a beautiful family consisting of a father, mother, four brothers, three sisters, and a beautiful little grandson We lived the most beautiful life ever until the war came ,We lost in this war, specifically on October 31, 2023, the most precious thing we had as a result of the occupation’s bombing of our house, “the house in which we grew up and spent our childhood and youth.” And with it went all my dreams, my textbooks, my university equipment, We all came out from under the rubble, with minor and very serious injuries and martyrs as well and my middle brother, who should have graduated from a nursing college at the end of this Who is employed as a volunteer in the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>. The year was crowned a martyr in this war, and my other brother was injured in his right foot, after they came out from under the rubble of our house and He had finished his studies and graduated with distinction from the College of Engineering a few months before the war, but now he needs treatment, but there are no possibilities in Gaza.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>. Then the misfortunes continued until we lost my grandfather and grandmother, then we lost our university and we began to move from one area to another approximately 10Most recently, it was in Mawasi Khan Yunis We are now living a difficult life of displacement, where approximately 15 people live in one tent. We suffer from high heat during the day and extreme cold at night, in addition to the lack of orthotics with which we can live and no sustenance for the day.
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/80516661_1720211505878596_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Also, my father suffers from an injury in his right foot, so that he cannot walk. Except on crutches, and my mother The one who always cries is the one who lost her son, her liver, her mother, and her father in one year. It was a shock for her and she suffers from kidney stones and needs pure, clean water to avoid kidney failure, but Gaza only has mixed water and she also suffers from nerve damage, and the amount of needles available in Gaza to treat her has run out
</div>
<div>My beautiful little sister, who is 12 years old, The occupation deprived her of education and all her rights in life and also suffered a lot in this war and was very sad. She does not deserve that. She is now suffering from hepatitis. I pray for her recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/80516661_1720211657698177_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div>Grandson Bibi Akram completed his year in the war. He suffered a lot from the heat and the lack of hygiene facilities in Gaza. He was denied all his rights. He is not like the rest of the children in the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/80516661_1720211797155849_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div>The end of what we lost under the rubble of the house was my beautiful cat, with whom I spent the best 3 years "Kitty "
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/80516661_1720261052873087_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Events and misfortunes continued for us, the last of which was when my journalist uncle, Muhammad Arab, became a prisoner in the occupation prisons, moving from Sde Timan prison to Ofer prison, suffering from tragic conditions in prison. "From Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza "
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/80516661_1720260868227677_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div>Do we deserve all this sadness...all this violence? This is what happened to us and what we suffer every day. If you think we need help, please don’t delay.
</div>
<div>, so we ask for your support and donation in order to save the rest of the family before May the hand of the occupation reach us and deprive us of all life and leave Gaza to live a safe life. Everything mentioned has been documented on my account on the Instagram platform for viewing and donating.

<div><strong>Announcing phase 2 of Education for all Campaign:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Due to your <strong><em>tremendous </em></strong>support of our initiative <strong><em>Education for All</em></strong> we are <strong>expending</strong> the goal which was 20k to 40k.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Imagine being a child full of dreams but unable to pursue them because war and displacement have taken everything away even the chance to go to school. In North Kivu, Congo, thousands of children live in displacement camps, robbed of the opportunity to learn and grow. For these children, education isn’t just a pathway to a better future it’s a lifeline.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why we launched the Education for All campaign: to build classrooms and provide school supplies for children who desperately need them. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve made significant progress raising 20k with our partners Focus Congo which was our first goal for this campaign.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Classrooms are being built, supplies are being delivered, and hope is beginning to flourish in these camps. But we can’t stop now. Education is more than just walls and books; it’s about maintaining a system that keeps the doors to learning open for years to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support will help us:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Maintain and Improve Classrooms: Ensuring these spaces remain safe and conducive to learning.
</div>
<div>Support Teachers: Providing salaries, training, and resources to the dedicated educators making a difference.
</div>
<div>Provide Supplies: Books, uniforms, and meals that empower children to focus on their studies.
</div>
<div>Every dollar brings us closer to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a brighter future for these children. Your donation is more than just financial support it’s a message of hope, love, and solidarity for children who need it most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we can change lives and build a legacy of education, empowerment, and resilience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s make education a reality for every child, no matter their circumstances. Donate today and help us continue this vital work.

The Future Of Congo : Education For All

<div>My name is Bakir Silajdzic and I am an American living in Orange County, California.
</div>
<div>I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Bahaa Quota, a 21-year-old medical student from Gaza. I met Bahaa via IG. He is an exceptional young man with a strong desire to complete his medical studies outside Gaza and help his family rebuild their lives. His family lost all their livelihood after their home was bombed last year and his dream of becoming a doctor have been shattered.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have been deeply touched by his resilience, sense of responsibility for his family, and his determination to further himself despite all the challenges he is currently facing in Gaza.
</div>
<div>Our goal is to raise money for Bahaa to help him survive in Rafah’s current conditions and hopefully evacuate to Egypt to be able to continue his studies once when enough funds have been gathered.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds will be used as follows:
</div>
<div>$5,000 Fee to Ya Hala Institute for Rafah crossing
</div>
<div>$3,000 accommodation in Egypt and travel expenses
</div>
<div>$7,000 for unpaid fees for the last semester attendance at Al-Azhar University (it's a debt that has the be paid to obtain the university records)
</div>
<div>$50,000 -university fee to complete his studies
</div>
<div>Any amount above this will be used to keep Bahaa and his family alive, safe, and fed while we are raising the funds.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Bahaa’s evacuation will be coordinated via Ya Hala Travel Company and all funds will be transferred to Bahaa via PayPal. The money will be transferred as collected to ensure the family is fed and safe.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please support if you can, any amount, however small can help bring Bahaa one step closer to accomplishing his dreams of resuming his studies and being able to help his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Bahaa’s story is below:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“My name is Bahaa Qouta and I am 21 year old Gazan. Before the war started, I was a third-year med student at Al Azhar University (human science department) and was in the top 3 percent of my class. My professors regarded me as the top student in clinical diagnosis and disease treatment. My dream has always been to specialize in pediatrics. “
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“Unfortunately, my world looks very different now. My family and I have been displaced several times since October last year, -from Gaza City to Khan Yunis and now to Rafah. My family of eight live in a tent now, as do the rest of displaced people in Rafah. Our home was bombed and destroyed along with all our possessions, my university is in ruins, and the future I once hoped and worked for disappeared too.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“I have always studied hard in order to become a medical doctor and give back to my family and my country. I volunteered in Nasser Hospital this year during my displacement to Khan Yunis and continue to participate, -pending internet access and security situation, in a medical student group aimed to restore hopes and further learning of medical students in Gaza absent any formal classes being held.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“For someone who chose the profession of helping people, it comes hard for me to find myself on the receiving end. However, amidst the destruction around me that left my family without the livelihood we built for years, I have no other option left than to reach out for help. If I am given the chance to complete my education, I hope to return to my family and help to rebuild our home in my homeland by working as a medical doctor in Gaza.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“Thank you for reading my story and I hope you choose to be a part of my journey in regaining self-sufficiency and giving back to my family and my homeland.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“I thank you for your solidarity and your support.”

<div>Hello, I am Fefe (Fayza abd hassan) from Gaza, a mother of 10 children—nine of whom I gave birth to, and one child I adopted, named Kareem. The hardest thing I have faced is the absence of my son Yousef, who has been imprisoned by the occupation for a year now. I haven’t heard his voice in a long time, and I don’t know if he is alive or dead. This pain follows me every day.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am married to Az, my beloved and partner in this life, who suffers from serious health issues; he has undergone a CABG (coronary artery bypass graft) surgery and has heart failure and diabetes. Recently, due to his ongoing sadness about Yousef, we discovered that he has high blood pressure, which has added more pressure to our lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two years ago, I received another shock. After a period of physical pain, I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. That moment felt like a nightmare, as I felt my dream of being a mother to my children for a long time slipping away. Unfortunately, the cancer spread alarmingly, forcing me to travel to Egypt for medical tests that were unavailable in Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Upon my return, I faced a painful decision: the necessity of removing my breast. How could I face this decision? I had to undergo costly hormonal treatment, which gradually stripped me of my femininity and appearance. I wore a mask of strength in front of my children, but I felt like I was fighting a double battle: one against the illness and another from the pain of Yousef’s absence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the ongoing war in Gaza, the challenges have intensified. I am no longer able to follow up on my treatment or undergo the necessary tests, and I don’t know how far the cancer has spread in my body. That is why I am here today to ask for your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I need your support to provide for our basic needs such as food and water, as well as to pay the rent for the home that shelters us. I also want to plan to travel with my family to escape this war. The funds raised will help me buy essential medications, meet my family’s needs, and seek a safe place away from this suffering.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution from you will have a significant impact on our lives and help me maintain hope for a better tomorrow. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and solidarity.

A Mother Battling Cancer and War: Help Me Stay by My Childre

<div>We raised funds for Oday and his family who have been displaced several times as a result of the suffering devastating attacks 2023-2024
</div>
<div>Please read their story below.
</div>
<div>From Oday:

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, I am Oday Adnan Al-Anqar and I am 22 years old. My family and I lived in a rented house for 7 years until my father bought a very warm and comfortable apartment for our family and turned it into a beautiful home for us after a lot of fatigue and trouble. My father Adnan, my mother Sarah, my older sister Farah, my brother Abdullah, my brother Youssef, and my younger sister Rafif, who is only 5 years old.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img class="text-editor_textEditorImage__43_GE" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83179983_1727904327771880_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We were living in peace and had dreams until the suffering bombing that does not stop now.
</div>
<div>Since October 7, the suffering occupation forces have contacted me (and all Ga_zans) several times with a recorded message saying: “Ham_as is the cause of this destruction and you must evacuate Ga_zaCity in the northern Strip.” We suffered from these calls because they are psychological torture. They make us nervous, call at night and disturb our sleep.
</div>
<div>My house after What happened

<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Friday, October 13, 2023, I took a day off from my job in a clothing store after finishing my work at university. I was outside my house looking at the situation on the streets when suddenly a drone dropped several newsletters stating that Ga_za City should be evacuated now.
</div>
<div>So my family decided to move to my sister’s house near Al-Shifa Hospital because this area is a safe area and it was a very difficult day.
</div>
<div>We (my family and my sister’s family) lived in my sister’s house for twenty days, but on the twentieth day, the occupation committed a massacre against my sister’s husband’s cousins in the house opposite her house. We ran quickly to see what happened, and as soon as we arrived we started crying when I saw the bodies. I tried to help the rest of the people buried under the rubble, but the neighbors They stopped me, saying that I would not help in the psychological state I was in. I saw death before my eyes. I insisted on helping, and I pulled out the martyrs and body parts with my bare hands. The next morning, we could not stay in that area. We walked a distance of 15 kilometers along Salah al-Din Street to escape to southern Ga_za, carrying My little sister, and I hear her screaming as she says, “My brother, my father, get me out of here.” Our journey along the escape route was horrific, as much as we witnessed unimaginable atrocities: corpses lying in the streets and houses turned into rubble. We passed through a checkpoint of soldiers while they raised their weapons in our faces, and the sounds of planes and artillery did not stop. We saw death from every angle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We had to move to Deir al-Balah to our friend's house for ten days. It was very difficult there because the house is far from any markets or stores to get what we need. We even had to buy water for washing and that was very expensive. After that, we had to leave because our friend's family needed to stay home. We left and headed to the city of Ra_fah. We stayed in a rented apartment for two months, but after that we could not stay due to the high cost of rent and the lack of work to get enough money. We had to live in a tent, which was a large piece of cloth, in a camp for the displaced.

</div><img class="text-editor_textEditorImage__43_GE" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83179983_1727904404212904_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Next to our camp, the street was full of sewage and garbage. So if I don't die from the bombs, I might die from the disease
</div>
<div>Our routine here is to wake up at six in the morning or earlier due to the noise of air strikes and explosions, and try to find a bathroom to relieve ourselves and wash our faces. After that, I go looking for water to wash the dishes and for drinking water. Unfortunately, we cannot shower here because there is no facility or water for it. At around 9am, my brother and I go to whoever has solar panels so we can charge a battery for our lights to use at night and our phone battery. After that I will go look for food. All the food is expensive and hard to get since there are so many people here. There are over 1.5 million people now. We've all lost weight. It's almost impossible to find any chicken or beef, and food prices change all the time.
</div>
<div>Fuel is also expensive and difficult to obtain.
</div>
<div>The cost of evacuation at this point cost my family about $5000. My father has not received his salary since the suffering attacks
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We apologize for our scattered thoughts. We've all been lost and haven't been normal since all this chaos. We do not know what to do, especially now that they have entered Raf_ah and we have been displaced again to Deir al-Balah due to the military operation by the occupation forces. We do not know whether they will invade Deir al-Balah as well or not
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We don't know whether we should leave because maybe it will be worse where we go, or stay here and maybe regret it.
</div>
<div>We really miss our homeland. We loved it so much and were so comfortable there, but now it's just rubble. We couldn't even retrieve any of our belongings from under the rubble. So, even if the war ends soon, where will we live? We only have each other left.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Living in the camp is very difficult and unhealthy. It's very cold and you are always around a lot of people, noise, sewage and garbage. It is very crowded, so you cannot relax or enjoy the peace.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are looking for a safe way out of Ga_za, but it is very difficult and very expensive. It costs more than $5,000 per person to go to Egypt! Unfortunately, we cannot afford that. We have witnessed and survived four wars. Will we survive the fifth?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will tell you more about myself. Ever since I graduated high school I dreamed of being in the USA and studying law there! Unfortunately, I was unable to leave Ga_za due to the high tuition fees, so I studied motion graphics for two years and graduated with honors and was preparing to complete my bachelor’s degree.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I worked in a design and montage company and I loved my work very much. Then I opened an online clothing store, but I was unable to complete my project because of the war.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On 10/13/19, I left my home, my clothes, and my memories there in Ga_za City. I have described the suffering to you here, but it is just a drop in the ocean. I used to be a giver but this is the first time I have asked you to help me and my family evacuate Ga_za and live a new, safe and comfortable life.”
</div>
<div>This picture is an honest poem that demanded a right

<div><br />
</div>
<div>It has pollution, but we have to
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us raise funds to evacuate Oday and his family and help them establish a new life. Contributing any amount will help us greatly.
</div>
<div>thank you very much all
</div>
