On February 17, my life changed in an instant when I suffered a devastating fall from a second-story balcony. As a result of the accident, I broke both of my legs and fractured my back. Since then, I have undergone multiple surgeries and am currently living in a nursing and rehabilitation facility while I work toward regaining my strength and independence
For more than four years, I proudly worked for the Texas Workforce, where I had the privilege of helping members of my community—including veterans—find employment, access important resources, and improve their lives. Serving others during some of their most difficult moments was something I truly valued
Today, I find myself in the difficult position of asking for the same compassion and support that I once helped provide to others
I am a mother of three teenagers, and this has been one of the hardest experiences of my life. While I recover in the nursing and rehabilitation facility, my children are staying with family because I am currently unable to care for them independently. Being separated from my children during this time has been incredibly painful. I miss being there for the everyday moments—helping them get ready for school, sharing meals, encouraging them, and simply being present
Since their father passed away last August, I have been doing my best to provide for my children and keep our family moving forward. Now, while I focus on healing, I am facing significant medical expenses and the ongoing costs of supporting my children while I am unable to work
I am humbly asking for help as I continue this long road to recovery. Funds raised will help with
Medical bills, treatments, medications, and other recovery-related expense
Everyday expenses for my three children while I am in rehabilitation
School clothes, shoes, and back-to-school supplie
Food, transportation, and other necessities for my childre
Any additional expenses that arise during my recovery and transition back to independenc
Any amount, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference to my family. If you are unable to donate, sharing my story, offering prayers, or connecting us with helpful resources would mean just as much
My goal is to heal, regain my independence, return to work when I am physically able, and most importantly, be reunited with my children and continue providing them with the life they deserve
For years, I dedicated myself to helping others find hope, employment, and the resources they needed to move forward. Now, I am asking for a little help as I work to find my own way forward
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me and my children during this difficult chapter. Every donation, prayer, kind word, and share brings us one step closer to a brighter future. ❤
