Meet Appa, our beloved American Bully. He’s a joyful and active companion who brings so much happiness to our lives. Unfortunately, he’s been showing signs of discomfort and mobility issues that point toward hip dysplasia. It is a genetic condition that’s common in certain breeds, including American Bullies. His Father had the same issues. Overactivity, especially during their growth phases, can put extra strain on the hip joints, leading to pain and decreased mobility. We’ve noticed Appa struggling to get up, hesitating to walk, and sometimes limping after play. As his loving family, we want to ensure he gets the best care possible. We need support to accurately diagnose and treat his condition, we need to cover the costs of veterinary exams, including X-rays, and potential treatments that may range from medication to surgery.Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference in giving Appa a better quality of life. We’re grateful for any support and for helping us spread the word. Some people have told me to give up to just cut my losses and surrender him ;( but I can’t bring myself to do that. Appa isn’t just a dog, he’s family. I made a promise to care for him through the good and the hard, and I won’t walk away now when he needs me the most. Surrendering him would tear us apart. The thought of not seeing him, not hearing his paws on the floor, not being able to hold him, would be devastating for all of us. I know this journey won’t be easy, but I’m standing on faith and doing everything I can to give him a fighting chance. I pray for the strength, guidance, and help to do right by him to keep hope alive when it feels heavy, and to trust that we’ll get through this. Because I believe with everything in me that he deserves that chance, and I won’t stop fighting for him. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for your kindness and generosity. Together, we can help Appa live a happier, pain-free life.
