My name is Raquel, and I’m reaching out for help for my dad, who was arrested by ICE on July 30.  This has been an incredibly difficult and stressful time for our family, and with his court date coming up on the 13th, we are doing everything we can to give him the best chance to stay with us. The legal costs are overwhelming and I’m trying to raise as much as possible to cover the fees for lawyers who can fight for him.  My dad is the heart of our family. He’s always been a super caring, hard-working person who never hesitated to help family, friends, or even strangers, even when he was struggling himself.respectfully ask that you consider my father's true character. He is not a bad person He is a hardworking, caring, and compassionate man who has dedicated so much of his life to helping others before himself. He’s always been a good dad, putting others first and showing kindness in every situation. This situation has shaken us, but we’re determined to do everything we can to keep our dad with us. While my parents are no longer together, throughout my childhood my father worked tirelessly to provide for my mother and me. At the same time, he carried the responsibility of supporting much of our extended family. He worked incredibly hard to make sure my mother and I had everything we needed.  All funds raised will go directly to legal fees and lawyers, so my dad has the best chance at staying with us.
