Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,
My name is Kushal Gade, and I am trying to earn my Eagle Scout Rank, the highest achievement in Scouting.
As part of my Eagle Scout project, I am collaborating with the Tyrrell Park Nature Center, a park in Beaumont, TX, to construct a wheelchair accessible nature trail.
Currently, there is no designated trail allowing visitors to experience the beauty of this section of the nature center. This project will ensure that visitors including people in wheelchairs, those with walkers and even visitors with strollers can visit this part of the nature center while ensuring the safety of the natural habitat as the footpath will be directed to a designated path as opposed to going through greenery or wet grass.
The proposed wheelchair trail will be constructed using a road base foundation as well as a decomposed granite top-layer.
Some of the items still needed include:
Decomposed granite
Road base
Path stabilizer
Rental equipment
Safety supplies/volunteers
My goal is to raise approximately $5,200 for this project. I have already aquired $1,300 toward that goal and am now seeking support for the remaining costs.
Any contribution, whether small or big will be put towards constructing the nature trail.
I would really appreciate your donation to my Eagle Scout project and to make the Tyrrell Park Nature Center better. If you can't donate right now, please share this fundraiser with your loved ones.
And thank you for supporting both myself and the project!
Best Regards,
Kushal Gade
