<div>The loss of Gerardo Estrada, lovingly known as Jerry, has brought unimaginable grief to our family, friends, and community.

<div>With heavy hearts, we are creating this page to support my sister Rosa with funeral expenses and to help lay our beloved nephew Jerry to rest. On Friday night, as Jerry was coming home from work, he was tragically struck and killed by an LAPD vehicle that was responding to another incident.

<div>Jerry was a kind-hearted soul who was always willing to help anyone. He was full of love, and he was deeply loved in return. He had a passion for film and media, and for 11 years he was a dedicated part of the Wurstküche family in the Los Angeles Arts District. His friends, coworkers, and everyone who knew him describe Jerry as a wonderful person with a heart of gold.

<div>On Wednesday, I was out in the backyard with Gus and he was doing his usual gig of trying out for the Olympics, running laps around in the thick and wet snow. Suddenly he let out a huge cry and immediately fell to the ground. Whimpering, I had to carry my boy back into the house to assess. With nothing visibly to note, besides the pain I could see in him, we made a vet trip the next morning. X rays and exams later, I was shown the tear in his rear left knee.

<div>Hi, my name is Stephanie, the daughter of Christine Hansbrough, and with a heavy broken heart I wanted to share the news of losing my mother on December 8th, 2023. Christine left this world too soon and we are still processing the loss of such an important person and learning to navigate through this rough chapter.

<div>My mom grew up in Los Angeles, in the City Terrace and Boyle Heights area. She was the oldest to her brother Ernie and 2 sisters, Carol and Ann Margret. She had 4 kids Martin+, Eric, Adam and me.

<div>My mom endured the pain of losing both her parents, son and her first husband, the father of her children during her lifetime. It brings me some comfort knowing she’s now surrounded by so many loved ones .

<div>She worked 25+ years for Goodwill Industries, different titles but found her passion in the social work field, of being a Job Developer. Many years and helped many lives. We can’t wait to hear more stories from her work journey.

We were both 911 Dispatch Operators and I am fundraising for her daughter Liz who is a veteran of the United States Airforce, Zach and their babygirl who all suffered a horrific car accident on July 13, 2023 on Hwy 95. They went to Arizona for the baby's check up and on the way back home they were struck by a Semi Truck. The accident left Mommy (Liz) with a broken sternum, a bruised lung, and very sore and Daddy (Zach) with multiple fractures in one leg and will need surgery. Thank God our babygirl is in tact and is doing well, along with their 11 year old doggy named Sky who was in the front seat. Thank God Mommy was in the back with the baby. The passenger side of their vehicle was crushed! Had Mommy been sitting in the front passenger seat, I don't think she would be here today. Prior to this accident Mommy was in grave condition when she gave birth to her precious babygirl two months ago and has had complications after the fact and just when things were looking up, this tragedy happened to them. After Zach received his Masters in Business Pychology they decided to move to another state with their brand new baby to start a new life and a new job. This veteran who served her country needs our help. I hope you will find it in your hearts to donate to this family and at the very least please keep them in your prayers. They have a long road to recovery and Daddy will be unable to work for a while, causing a financial harship. So any donation big or small is welcomed. We praise God for sparing their lives..... <p>This fundraiser is for my dear best friend Yubana Sanchez and her son Julian Angel Palmerin. On October 21st 2019 her baby Julian  was born with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome, which means he was born with half a heart. In addition to his heart defect he was born with pulmonary defects. A week ago the medical team informed Yubana that her baby will not be able to live  much longer due to the veins in his lungs and accumulation of excessive fluids. Yubana is currently spending her last moments with her Angel and is preparing for the sad reality none of us especially her wants to face. Here are some words that yubana recently shared:<br /><br /><br />“By far the hardest days of my life. Watching Julian slowly leaving me hurts more than anything has ever hurt. He is no longer himself and I miss his happy self soooo much. It’s a daily battle, a battle I tell him not to fight anymore. It’s my turn to fight this one and his turn to rest. He deserves all the peace, the painless life and all the good things god has waiting for him up there. Julian Angel

While hiking in Zion National Park, Tanner and Taylor were caught in a huge rock slide. While trying to save Taylor, Tanner was unable to get out of the way. A large rock hit his leg, nearly severing his foot. They have done three surgeries thus far and at this point have been able to save the leg. He is facing more surgeries and at least a year of rehab. We need him home in southern California and on his way to recovery.
