Hello, I am Crystal and I would like to share the journey that led me to my life's purpose and my soul plan. Sharing my story is 2-fold...1) to inspire those who are stuck by fear &amp; need to know that "yes, you can"...look at me  2) to inspire those who wish to help make a more positive contribution to the world around us by donating to my purpose.  My journey began 7+ years ago...after leaving the army, I was working for the past 19 years in a well-known company starting from a technician to a supervisor and was moving through life like most of us do - a 9-5, my children were set to leave the nest and was just moving along.  To say that I was not satisfied with my overall mediocrity would be an understatement but I was comfortable and not "needing" to change. Then tragedy hit that left me in depression, with anxiety, and with PTSD...I went to the home of an employee who had not been to work for 3 days and I found him dead. My life was jolted like a lightening bolt hit it. I became numb, I became a shell of a person, I could not come to terms with processing what I saw; however, I was determined to figure myself out, to find a way out of desperation...through self-care.  I started my healing with yoga, meditation, and massage. I still could not find inner peace or purpose. Then I decided to experience my first facial. This experience is still transforming my life.   As I relaxed on the table, I began to feel for the first time since my trauma. My body started to tingle and to intensify.  The traumas emotions rose to the surface before I could take control, I was embarrassingly having a gut-wrenching cry.  I was releasing the past 40 years of pain &amp; trauma through this human touch to may face.   Through my tears, I have the clarity to listen....I hear the voice of God speak to me and He tells me this is how I want you to serve.  This is how you are to give of yourself and fulfill the purpose I have of you...to healing others through self-care, through "fixing skin and their souls".  So 6-weeks later I left my stable 19-year career to pursue God's plan for my life.  I went back to school at 42 years old, I went through the years of gaining experience and skills to be an esthetician by working in salons.  I also applied &amp; was accepted to participate in a women's business accelerator that enables women to start and sustain businesses by teaching us to be experts in business basic and to be a successful entrepreneur.  I worked catering jobs, admin jobs to pay my bills and to keep my focus.  As I have gone through these years to gain the skills, I have had so many people who laid on my facial table open up about their battles with depression, anxiety, and PTSD - some have had the same gut-wrenching cry I once cried.  This continuously grounded me in God's purpose of me and this to be my ministry....my calling...to provide facials (skin care) that go far past the surface level. I believe through my own life experience that self-care leads to self-love. My physical facials are how I help women &amp; men reconnect with their peace, their purpose, their energy, and power.  So.... Grace &amp; Grit, LLC is the result of these past 7 years and I am 100% leaning on God to guide me through opening this spa and to seeking support from family, friends, and strangers...from you.  This funding will go towards remodeling of the space I have found, spa supplies &amp; product and equipment for Grace &amp; Grit, LLC.      Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I am profoundly honored and humbled by your generosity and your belief in me and my purpose.  Crystal.  Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV) "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
