My name is Josh, and after years of struggling with homelessness and addiction, I am proud to say I am one year and two months sober. I recently got hired as a part-time prep cook at Oxford Casino, which is a huge step forward for me. My friends and family have been my biggest supporter through everything, giving me rides to work and appointments, but I can tell it's wearing on them all. They deserves to enjoy their own lives without worrying about how I'll get to work every day.
Having my own vehicle would be a true game changer. It would give me the independence I need to keep my job and continue building a better life. It would also allow my family and friends to finally relax and enjoy their own lives knowing that I'm able to take care of myself. After being homeless on and off for the last 10 years, I know how important stability is, and having reliable transportation is the next step in my journey.
I'm reaching out for help because I want to keep moving forward and show my mom how much her support has meant to me. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help me get closer to my goal and make a real difference in my life. Thank you for believing in me and supporting my journey to independence.
