Hello family and friends! I was recently diagnosed with epilepsy (unexplained medical seizures), with episodes over the past few months, and the most recent on January 17th. I was told by my neurologist, that legally I cannot drive for three months after my last known seizure. During the tests to determine why I have seizures, I was diagnosed with cancer for the fourth time in 10 years. Unfortunately, I am unable to withstand chemotherapy treatments due to the seizures. These events have been a huge strain on an already stressful journey, because I am unable to work for the foreseeable future due to uncontrolled seizures and Stage 4 cancer. As a widowed mom of three school-aged kids, I am dealing with a lot of stress while caring for my kids, rising medical costs, and many health issues. I have quite a few appointments lined up in the next 6 months, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as neurology and oncology appointments to determine whether radiation therapy is the best viable option to kill the tumors on my lungs and adrenal glands that control kidney function, and to decide when chemotherapy treatments can resume every other Friday once the seizures become controlled. My kids and I are asking for your continued prayers, and because medical disability does not stretch far enough, we need help with medical bills, rising mortgage and utility costs, and household bills.
