My name is Ndaambe. POLICE FAILED THIS CHILD – 8 YEARS OLD – OMAFO VILLAGE
Namibia must see this.
Namibia must hear this.
An 8-year-old child was raped. The hospital confirmed it. The police were informed. An arrest was made.
And still — this child is not safe.
Two years ago, an 8-year-old girl named Veronica from Omafo Village was brutally raped and sodomized by a teenage relative.
Medical examinations confirmed the assault and the case was reported to the Namibian Police Force.
The suspect was arrested.
But because he was underage, he was released with conditions that he must never return to the village.
Now he is back.
For the past two days:
• He has returned to the exact place where he raped her.
• He brought his belongings behind her mother's shed.
- Yesterday he was in church with her.
- His brother teaches kindergarten children at the same church here in the village.
- His brother lives on church grounds and is believed to be harboring him there.
- He is also believed to stay with friends.
• He has threatened Veronica.
• He has gone to her school.
• He has threatened family members who spoke out.
Police were contacted immediately.
They promised to come.
They never came.
This same perpetrator has also allegedly raped:
• Veronica’s older sister.
• Another young cousin.
Those cases were never reported because the victims were threatened into silence.
Now Veronica's mother is being threatened for speaking out.
This child lives in fear.
An 8-year-old child should never have to live like this.
Leaders in Ohangwena Region must act.
National leadership including Nangolo Mbumba must hear this.
This is not just Veronica's story.
This is about every child in Namibia.
If a child can be raped, the suspect released, and then allowed to return and threaten the victim —
Then the system has failed.
We demand:
• Immediate police intervention.
• Protection for Veronica and her family.
• Enforcement of release conditions.
• Investigation into police inaction.
• Justice for all victims.
We are leaving Namibia today but we will continue fighting for Veronica from abroad.

Share until:
• Authorities respond.
• Police act.
• Veronica is safe.
Silence protects abusers.
Sharing protects children.
Police failed this child.

Let’s get this guy in JAIL and justice for all victims.
The family members protecting him also need to be put in JAIL.
