Matthew, at 32, deals with cerebral palsy, and some days are tougher than others. He loves watching documentaries about national parks and travel shows with families exploring different places. His mom, who also cleans houses part-time, is his dedicated caregiver and friend. She really wants to give Matthew the same joy he gets from those shows in real life, but they just can't afford it. Matthew's motor skills have really improved over the years. We need an RV, not just a week-long trip somewhere, because he has good days and bad days. If we flew or drove to a destination, there's no guarantee he'd have a good day to actually experience it, which would be a waste of the whole trip. That's why we need the flexibility of being "home without being home" – being able to wait for a good day is priceless.
we will be looking to buy a RV to travel in across the states. Matthew has cerebral palsy and can walk as long as there are no steps up or down. So we'd be looking for a RV that has a bed room with no steps to enter. Is the first priority. The second priority is we have a place for his wheelchair and a couple places of medical equipment that is a for his physical therapy and brain exercise and lastly some where for me to sleep... that's what we are aiming for.
We ask for help filling this dream for Linda and Matthew.....
