I am starting this fund to support my brother, Matt Lynch, in honor of my father, Bill Lynch. Matt was recently hired as the FIRST-EVER openly gay collegiate head basketball coach. He is taking over a Division I Juco program that didn’t have a season last year. He is responsible for fundraising for scholarships, uniforms, travel, etc.

My dad was a sports enthusiast, his favorite sport being basketball. He passed that love on to his two boys. He supported the two of us and watched every game we played and coached. Unfortunately, my father passed away in late 2020. Sadly, he won't be able to see his oldest son be a Head Coach for the first time. With this fund, Bill Lynch will be able to support his middle child as he begins his Head Coaching Career in basketball!

We realize in todays pandemic finances are limited so if you can't donate please like, share and repost this video to help spread the word. If you are an artist, a welder, a plumber, muralist, sculptor, digital designer, we need your help! Please email us (details below). The social and economic crisis caused by the current pandemic has unfortunately displaced some people from their homes and diminished the sense of community we once had. I want to ensure that when we all get back to work, there will be a glorious light at the end of the tunnel. We appreciate all your love and support! Thank you <3 For more information, email us at [email redacted] Watch our campaign video here below! Ever since inheriting the land in 2012, we have been on a constant mission to improve the amenities, resources, standard of living, and overall quality of life for current and future residents at the Savage Ranch. The ranch itself started out as a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals and has since expanded to artists. We have rescued animals from all over, 4 pigs, 10 chickens, 15 horses, and a handful of beautiful dogs. We look forward to sharing our journey with you! We are proud of the accomplishments made thus far and are excited to continue renovations aimed at enhancing the artist residency experience. Thanks to the skillful manual labor and efforts of love from talented members of the collective over the past two years, we have successfully created the foundational infrastructure that will lend itself as the blueprint to the expansion of the Savage Ranch dream. Our Mission We want to be able to have as many people experience the magic of the Savage Ranch and take what they learn back to their own communities. In order to make that happen, we need a building that can house more artists to be able to create the utopian vision we've dreamt of. With your help we can make this dream into a reality. Universal Studios was created on a chicken farm and if they can do it so can we, together! The Savage Ranch Residency House will be open to all who want a unique experience dedicated to giving back to our land, the local community and the universe around us. Residency programs as well as all visitations are offered and your time at the ranch is marked with a purpose. Our vision is to gather together and grow as a community by developing the land to its fullest potential in the most sustainable way possible. Your generous contributions will help us build the space to host artists, creators, visionaries and community leaders on the land and each contribution will come with perks including time at the Savage Ranch Residency House. Other Ways You Can Help Contribution is key into making this dream a reality but there are also things you can do beyond your contribution a be a part of the community: Spread the word! We can't do this without you and the exposure that each person can give by talking to people about our mission and your excitement to be involved. There are other ways to contribute whether it's donating materials, your time, labor, or even spaces to help fund raise to meet our goal. We can't wait to meet you on the Savage Ranch! Savage Ranch Artist Residency

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of concern for our family in Puerto Rico and personal requests to help during the difficult aftermath of Hurricane Maria. As has been widely reported in the early hours of Wednesday, September 20, Hurricane Maria, a powerful Category 5 hurricane with 150 mph winds, made direct landfall on Puerto Rico, slicing through the entire island, drenching it with many feet of rain stripping much of the landscape bare, flattening what were once lush tropical rainforests, destroying the electrical grid, compromising dams, and cutting the entire island off from clean water. What’s happened since has been truly catastrophic for Puerto Rico. After nearly four weeks, there is still little power on the island and in many places there is no water to drink, bathe in or to flush toilets. There’s limited food and cell service, and dozens of remote villages have been completely cut off from everything for weeks. Our family was severely impacted by this devastating event. There is still no water and electricity in the sector where my parents reside in Sabana Grande. We are committed to rebuild a more sound home that is self-sufficient and independent of the current power infrastructure. To mitigate future power outages as the infrastructure of Puerto Rico is repaired, installation of solar panel system would ensure a consistent and renewable source of electricity. In addition to the solar power system, we have an immediate need for a dual fuel portable generator, a cistern, a rainwater filtration system, and a chainsaw for clearing fallen trees. Many of you have asked how you can personally help our family and after much deliberation we have come up with a plan for a more permanent solution rather than a temporary band aid. Here is how you can get involved and help. Our ask: $40,000 Other ways to help: Donate airline miles for assistance mission. Donate supplies or materials.

For the second year in a row, The Utility Players have been accepted into the San Francisco Improv Festival. Recently voted Reno's #1 Comedy Troupe, we take immense pride in this opportunity to represent our beloved city at a major comedy festival (and this year we've graduated to a Friday night spot!) In addition to showcasing what we've built here in Reno, SFIF is also an important time for us to network, learn, and grow as a family. While most of our traveling gigs involve income, arts festivals like SFIF actually cost us money. Besides the cost of the initial application, SFIF is costing us over $2000 in just travel and hotel expenses (even with Emily's amazing discounts and connections). It's important to us that each member of our tribe be able to experience this together. The crowd-funding idea came about when so many of our beloved fans asked us how they could help. We can't tell you what this means to us. Please check out our campaign donation levels to see if there's one that calls to you! Otherwise, donate the amount of your choice. We are grateful for every single offer. In the case that we go over our asking amount, all extra funds will go toward feeding our 9 member troupe for the weekend, and into a "Festival" savings account. From the troupe the RGJ called "The best home-grown comedic act in the area", our infinite gratitude to you all, The Utility Players

The desks in my classroom are broken. Actually, the desks at my school are broken. It is such an issue that when a teacher resigns or retires from the school, many teachers will pillage the classroom for any signs of good desks. One mark of a good desk is when the chair screws are only sticking halfway out of the chair rather than completely out. I've sent many students to the nurse's office for cuts and bleeding from chair screws. The screws are just one of the issues with our current desks. Some of the other common issues I've had to deal with are: the backs are cracked and often pull out girls' hair; the tops of the desks fall off mid writing assignment because the screws break, or the top was just adhered on from years of gathered gum; the laminate top is breaking off of the desk and creates an unleveled writing surface. These broken desks send the wrong message to our students. These broken desks scream broken education, and I'm done screaming at these broken desks. I work hard to be the best teacher that I can be. I keep up on modern teaching techniques to engage students; I work hard to stay current in my field of focus; and I do my best to supplement my students and their parents with what they need to be successful in the classroom community. This year alone I've spent about $700 in total on supplies, organizational items, and decor. As hard as I work, especially on creating a positive classroom space, I know that there are still things that need to be bought, made, and fixed--I just don’t have the money to make my classroom what it needs to be. I am seeking $2,000 to purchase 6, 48" round activity tables to replace the broken desks in my classroom. This will provide a better space for collaboration and project based leaning; the tables will last longer than the desks, but most importantly, they will keep our students safe.
