Christie Bradley has been a vibrant force in the Northwest music community for years, lighting up stages with Radical Revolution, Red Light Romeos, and Dancehall Days alongside her twin sister Darcy. Offstage, Christie is a devoted mom to Rowan (13) and Charlie (5), and works at a daycare, always giving her best to those around her. Recently, after Darcy’s own breast cancer diagnosis, Christie learned she carries the BRCA2 gene mutation and began enhanced screenings. These screenings led to the early detection of aggressive breast cancer in both breasts, and Christie is now preparing for a double mastectomy. The full extent of her cancer will only be known after surgery, and she faces a challenging road ahead.

 Christie is hoping for the best, but planning for the worst. Like so many hardworking families, she was already juggling two jobs to support her boys. Now, as she undergoes treatment and recovery, Christie will miss significant work and face mounting medical expenses, child care costs, and everyday household bills. This is a time when her focus should be on healing, not financial stress. The funds raised will help ease this burden, covering lost income and essential expenses so Christie can concentrate on her recovery and caring for Rowan and Charlie.

<div>I hope you are all doing well. I am reaching out to share an update regarding Frank’s health and to ask for your support as we navigate an incredibly challenging chapter in our lives.
</div>

<div>Since Frank’s neck surgery in December 2025, we have faced a difficult journey. The procedure did not go as planned, resulting in 47 days in the ICU and a three-month hospital stay. While Frank returned home on March 12, he has required 24/7 care ever since. The resulting medical expenses have unfortunately outpaced our available funds and Medicare coverage.

<div>There are amazing signs of progress: Frank is currently learning to walk again and is eating well, though he still requires a feeding tube. However, both of his hands remain contracted from the surgery, making it impossible for him to hold objects or feed himself. He is scheduled to begin working with an orthopedic surgeon on July 9 to address these challenges. My priority is to keep him at home for his long-term care and transition to outpatient occupational and speech and physical therapy.

<div>To make long term home care possible, we need to complete essential modifications, including installing a walk-in shower and a custom stair lift. 
</div>

<div>Additionally, another very important goal of this fundraiser is to help us manage these costs so that I can return to my role at Water Street Music Hall. After six-months of trying to work remotely, I need to focus on the business without exhausting all earnings on Frank’s immediate care.

Help Frank Recover & Support His Long Term Care

<div>Aaron is a son, brother, and friend who has a good heart. He is very intelligent, and a talented musician and writer. Our family is devastated and our hearts hurt, but we are also resilient and ready to face this and fight together.

<div> A few months ago, Aaron was diagnosed with cancer. At first, he went into denial, struggling to come to terms with the news. Over time, he has found the strength to accept his diagnosis and is now ready to face it head on.

Support for Aaron’s Cancer Journey

<div>On behalf of all of our families, we are starting a GoFundMe for my daughter, Katie Hilbert who is facing the unimaginable.

<div>On January 5th, 2024, Katie was diagnosed with triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma, one of the most aggressive and deadliest forms of breast cancer. Last week we got confirmation that it is stage 4 with metastasis to her lungs, pectoral muscle, and several lymph nodes throughout her body (axillary, mediastinal, internal mammary, pulmonary hilar, esophageal, and upper abdominal). Katie has developed an incredibly positive attitude about the diagnosis stating “Well, it will just be that much more impressive when I beat stage 4 cancer.”

<div>Katie is a 38 year old wife and mother to four children. She is a full time critical care nurse who has a passion for life, nature, the outdoors, music, and art. She is a very loving and caring person who has been celebrated by multiple patients and families throughout her nursing career for the highly compassionate care that she gives. She is a fierce mother and protector of her children and helped her oldest daughter beat cancer as a teenager, spending countless hours researching the disease and finding the best doctors to treat her condition.

<div>Katie has joined with two wonderful oncology teams at two different hospitals, as well as a functional medicine doctor. We are attacking this head on as a family and have tirelessly been working and researching. She has been put on an extreme diet and extensive supplement list, and along with her functional medicine doctor, has come up with an alternative treatment plan to compliment the conventional treatment plan the oncology teams have decided on. We are trying to throw everything possible at this disease from every direction. She has already started radiation therapy, and will begin chemotherapy on February 12th.

<div>Katie is continuing to work as much as she is able to between all of her appointments and treatments, and will continue to work as much as her body will allow her. With her recent schedule since her diagnosis, all of her appointments have caused her to miss a great deal of work already. The doctors have warned us that while she is currently feeling relatively well, the continued radiation and chemotherapy will likely make it physically difficult for her to carry out her duties as a critical care nurse. In addition, many of her tests and none of her alternative treatments are covered by insurance.

<div>Katie and her husband Brian need help with all of the medical bills, treatments, travel fees, and out of pocket expenses. Katie and Brian’s families are doing their best to handle as much on their own as they can, but they need help.

<div>Hey everyone! We’re reaching out for help for Vanessa who had a tragic accident a few weeks ago in Florida.  She fell onto concrete from the second story (how is unknown) &amp; subsequently sustained significant injuries including multiple broken bones, TBI &amp; brain bleed which led to surgery and a lot of unknown.

<div>Secondary to her injuries she now has a trach as well as a feeding tube and is sedated due to confusion and agitation.  
</div>

<div>She was transferred to an acute care “rehab hospital” only to develop a fever &amp; increased swelling in her brain along with an infection. She is readmitted to the hospital &amp; is to undergo a second brain surgery this week. 
</div>

<div>We want to get her back to New York once stable from surgery to where her family, especially her kids, can be with her during this challenging time.  The medical bills are piling up as well as the costs to travel back and forth to Florida for her sisters, children &amp; family. 
</div>
<div>They could use a hand also to cover the costs to bring her back home to NY via ALS transport ($15k+) where she can be closer to family &amp; hopefully receive better care.

<div>This page is being set up to help my sister and her family recover from a devastating incident. On July 16th their home was struck by lightning and caused a fire that destroyed it. They lost a majority of their belongings and it has rendered them homeless. Though they are staying with us during this troubled time they are in need of financial assistance to not only help them obtain new housing but to replace everything they have lost. The Roa's Recovery Fund

<div>On Thursday, July 20th my sister-in-law Katy Eberts was involved in a very serious motor vehicle accident on her way to a show with her band The Seven Wonders traveling from Rochester to Syracuse. The van she was a passenger in went off the road and flipped over along with the trailer they were towing. Katy was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse by Mercy Flight. She suffered a broken back and the trauma team performed a 4 hour surgery.
