<div>My name is Shelise, and I am fundraising on behalf of my grandparents, Herman and Juanita Landry. On 1/8/25, my grandparents tragically lost their home of nearly 50 years—and everything they owned—to the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA.

<div>Herman and Juanita have lived in their beloved Altadena home since 1976, creating a lifetime of memories and building a strong, supportive presence in their community. Herman, a retired Marine and former police officer with the LAPD, dedicated his life to service and protection. Jaunita spent 20 years helping others as a dedicated employee at Wells Fargo before working another 15 years for the Dodgers organization, bringing joy to fans and supporting the team behind the scenes.

<div>These two loving and hardworking people have always put family, faith, and community first. They’ve weathered life’s storms with grace, but this fire has left them completely devastated. Their home, filled with decades of memories, is gone. Clothes, furniture, keepsakes, photographs—everything they’ve built together over the years—has been lost.

<div>I am their granddaughter, and I live in Arcata, CA. I have always admired their resilience and generosity, and I am organizing this fundraiser to help them recover from this unimaginable loss.

Support Herman and Juanita's Recovery from Eaton Fire

<div>Hey everyone, Spencer here with SB Mowing, and I got a call from a friend at the city, and she told me that there is an elderly lady that is in desperate need of help. So, I stopped by her house, and her lawn was getting CRAZY! She’s been trying to get someone out to take care of it, but nobody is answering their phones. The city has given her a warning for her grass and was going to charge her $240 to cut it, which she couldn’t afford. So, I completely transformed her lawn for free, and she was in tears; she was so happy.

<div>I shared the video a few months later on my social media platforms, and a lot of people are wanting to donate to help her fix some of the accessibility issues around her home. Here are the things that I think would go a long way for her.

<div>1. A ramp going to her door so that she doesn't have to walk up and down stairs to get outside.
</div>
<div>2. A new driveway - Her current driveway is really broken up and is a bad tripping hazard.
</div>
<div>3. A chair lift to get her to her washer and dryer downstairs. Currently, she relies on her neighbors across the street to come over once a month to go downstairs to do her laundry.
</div>
<div>4. I would like to pay a company to maintain her yard for the next few years. Unfortunately, it is a bit too far of a drive for me to get there every week.
</div>
<div>5. If funds allow, she has a few broken windows that need to be replaced in her house.
</div>
<div>6. If funds allow, she could use a new bed that is easier to get in and out of.
</div>

<div>I really appreciate everyone that donates to help Beth out. I will make sure that the money goes towards fixing all of the items above or any other accessibility issues that Beth needs. Some leftover money will be give to her in cash and the rest will be donated to local non profits to help other people in the same situation she is in.

<div>Hi, I’m Cassie, and I’ve been on a spiritual journey for the last 3 years filled with hurdles, bumps, and bruises. <strong>Me and my kids have had everything stolen from us this year</strong>. Our car was towed by cops who kidnapped us and tried to criminalize me with no grounds. The case was dismissed, I was released, and now we have been displaced as my own mother put me and my two children on the street out of fear of losing her abusive husband.

<div>We are in Yuba City trying to get transportation and housing, and instead of helping us, they put us back on the street, denying us assistance. <strong>We slept outside for the first time in my life and were freezing cold. No one came to help us.</strong> I tried shelters, and they told us not until Monday. We cannot wait; we need stable housing and a car now!! <strong>The winter is here and Christmas, and all I want is to be home for the holidays.</strong> Your generous gifts can make our dreams a reality and lifelong friendship.
