I made it safe to my apartment in Brooklyn, feel very safe here (have a wonderful roommate with a 3 yr old and a dog), and am just overwhelmed by the amount of support and sweet sweet messages I have received from everyone. Tylar is raising funds for Loren, a dear friend who is making a life-changing move from Washington to New York. After going through very difficult family circumstances, Loren reached a point where staying in her small town no longer felt possible. The ongoing stress and fear around her mental health and safety made it clear that she needed a fresh start somewhere new. Choosing to leave everything familiar behind and begin again takes a tremendous amount of courage, and this move is Loren’s chance to build a safer, more stable future. The support from this fundraiser will help Loren with the major expenses of relocating, getting to New York, and settling into a shared apartment while she gets back on her feet. It will give her breathing room as she starts over and adjusts to a new place, far from the circumstances she has been trying to escape.
