I never thought I would have to make a GoFundMe for one of my animals, but right now I’m asking for help for my sweet 4-month-old kitten, Tiger. Tiger is one of a litter of kittens, and unfortunately, I have already lost two of his siblings after they became extremely sick. They developed symptoms very similar to what Tiger is experiencing now. Watching them get sick and losing them was absolutely heartbreaking, and now I’m terrified of losing Tiger too. if you know me you know how much my animals mean to me, they are my babies. Tiger recently became very ill. He developed a 104.4°F fever, stopped eating, became extremely lethargic, and his eyes looked glazed and unwell. Because of his age, his symptoms, his bloodwork, and what happened with his siblings, FIP is highly suspected by the veterinary professionals who have evaluated him. I rushed Tiger to the emergency vet and have already paid for his examination, testing, bloodwork, medications, fluids, and supportive care. Thankfully, his test for panleukopenia came back negative, but we are still fighting to get him through this and monitoring him closely. The good news is that there is treatment available for FIP, but it is a long process. Tiger is expected to need approximately 84 days of treatment, with his medication and dosage potentially changing as he gains weight. He will also need repeated bloodwork and veterinary monitoring throughout treatment to make sure he is responding and that his body is handling everything safely. What your donations will help with: * FIP medication for the full 84-day treatment * Bloodwork and follow-up monitoring * Veterinary rechecks and emergency care if needed * Supportive medications and treatment * Any unexpected costs that come up during Tiger’s recovery I am setting the goal at $2,700 because I want to make sure I can give Tiger the entire course of treatment and get him the follow-up care he needs rather than having to stop treatment because I can’t afford the next step. I know times are hard for everyone, and I don’t expect anyone to donate money they don’t have.
