Please Help My Nephew Rodrigo After a Terrible Fireworks Accident My name is Agustina, and I am asking for help for my nephew Rodrigo. Rodrigo is 14 years old and  with my sister and his little sister. He is a cheerful, funny boy who is always joking at home. He loves soccer and plays as a forward, and he is a big fan of Chivas. Whenever there is a game on TV, he never misses it. Rodrigo is in his third year of secondary school. He is disciplined and studies hard. His dream is to become a veterinarian one day because he loves animals so much. At home they have many roosters, and after school he spends time caring for them, feeding them and making sure they are healthy. He also has two small dogs, Roco and Kailan, who follow him everywhere. Rodrigo helps my sister cook and clean without complaining, and he is a very loving brother to his little sister. On New Year’s Eve, there was a fireworks celebration in their neighborhood. One of the fireworks did not explode. After waiting several minutes, everyone believed it had stopped working. Rodrigo went to check it because he thought it was safe. But it was not safe. The firework exploded in his face. Rodrigo was rushed to the hospital with very serious injuries. So far, he has had five surgeries and remains hospitalized. Doctors say he will need more surgeries in the future. He lost one of his eyes and will need a prosthetic eye. Despite everything, Rodrigo has shown incredible strength. He knows he lost his eye, but he tells his mom, “Don’t worry, everything is going to be okay. I’m going to try harder. God is going to help us.” After his first surgery, the first thing he asked was if he could get a prosthetic eye. His mother says he is determined to stay positive and keep moving forward. This has been heartbreaking for our entire family. Rodrigo is only 14 years old. He should be playing soccer and caring for his animals, not going through surgeries and recovery. The medical expenses are overwhelming and urgent. The family does not have health insurance, and the hospital bills have already reached approximately 400,000 pesos. The most immediate need now is the cost of his ocular prosthesis, along with continued hospital care, surgeries, medications, and treatments. My sister cannot carry these costs alone. I am asking from the bottom of my heart if you can please help my nephew. Any donation, even a small one, would mean so much.
