Project Request: Installation of Hand Pumps for Clean Water Project Title: Clean Water for Needy Communities Location: Faisalabad, Pakistan Organized by: Giving Tree Ministry 1. Introduction Greetings in the name of the Lord, We are serving poor and needy families in different areas of Faisalabad, Pakistan. Many families in remote and low-income communities do not have access to clean drinking water. Women and children walk long distances every day to bring unsafe water for their homes. Unsafe water is causing sickness, especially among children. To solve this problem, we are planning to install hand pumps in the most affected areas. 2. The Problem No access to clean drinking water Children suffering from waterborne diseases Women walking long distances to collect water Poor families unable to afford water solutions Clean water is a basic human need, yet many families are still struggling. 3. Our Solution We plan to: Install hand pumps in selected poor communities Provide safe and clean groundwater access Reduce disease and improve health Support widows, orphans, and needy families Each hand pump will serve multiple families and will be installed in areas where the need is greatest. 4. Estimated Budget Cost per hand pump installation: $300 – $500 (depending on depth and area) Number of hand pumps needed: 10 hand pump Total estimated cost: 5500 5.
