I'm an autistic woman who lost her family home when I had to put my mom in a home. Despite being autistic, I make too much money so I lost the house despite it being paid off and I was paying the bills. I can barely afford the apartment with my husband. We need help ASAP as the apartment wants to evict us by the end of this weekend. We have no where to go and have two cats. We have no family or friends to help. I'm diagnosed with Autism, rather high functioning autism. I'm also 40 (turned 40 last August). My diagnosis is also the reason I can't drive. So I have to Uber to work. I've been at my job for 18 years this past March but have been working in the industry for 22years this August. But because I *can* work and I'm full time, I don't qualify for a lot of the same benefits as those with my same diagnosis. Example, I make too much money to use Access Link, which is a public transportation through the state (New Jersey) for those with disabilities and for elderly people. I tried and the website said I made too much money. What's worse is I lost my childhood home. My mom got COVID really bad in 2022 and got COVID fog, which turned into dementia. In 2023, my husband and I moved into my mom's house to help her with bills and stuff. But in the Spring of 2024, she got violent and we had to leave. Within the week that we left, my mom called the cops saying we were taking her cat and bringing him back every day. Which made no sense. And when the cop was there, he clearly could see her cat (who is now my cat Gandolf) in the window, as apparently she talked with the cop outside on the front porch. So my husband and I moved back into the house. From the hospital, which was were the cop took my mom, she went into a nursing home. But found out, she didn't have a guardian or beneficiary. I was acting as it, as I was next to kin. Long story short, we lost the house despite me having autism/ADHD. If I only made $25 less, I would have qualified to keep the house. We moved back into the apartment complex we had been living in before moving in with my mom. But another long story short, we owe money because of bullshit. Now, we are in threat of losing the apartment we were forced to move into after loosing everything. If anyone can help would be so very helpful. I added more details hoping people would understand. I've been very depressed about the entire situation with my mom and a lot of childhood trauma has been coming back too. So if you can help with anything would really be appreciated ^-^
